Question about Rinnai Toyostove Direct Vent Heater: Toyostove Laser 73 Shipping
My Toyostove laser 73 kerosene heater is showing error EE 2 which says is a missed ignition. We had this problem a month ago and changed the filter out and it started working fine again. We are not out of fuel and the filter is still clean and new. When the stove tries to start you can see a flame and after about a minute the error comes back on and the heater shuts off. Could it be the ignitor or what?
Replace the flame rod. or it could be the computer board for the flame rod. flame rod detects the presence of a flame.

Same problems. Could also be the igniter (long white ceramic piece).
Have had to replace every 3 yrs or so. Although the burner will come on and run for a few minutes, when it kicked into "higher gear" EE2 error occurs. I have advantage of having two units, so can swap one out to make sure it is the problem before investing in new igniter.

I had this problem, I was always in save mode and thought the heater may not be self cleaning so took it out of save mode and it is now staying lit and burning with a clean flame now
