Run the unit with no soap, after about 5 min. of run time open door and check to see if water is clear or soapy,If soapy then you are having an oversudsng issue. When your washer gets to rinse cycle, your unit (if oversuding),will be rinsing with soapy water and the the drying cycle bakes the soap on dishes. You might be having a white film on your clear glasses.Cut down on soap especially if you have soft water.powder soap is best.Your dishwasher will fill , wash , the drain. Its what you put into it that will cause dishes not become clean.

There is a new product out that filters the water going into your dishwasher. it works great and my dishes look fantastic. they use to look dirty with a white film on them. after the first load when i hooked up the dishwasher filter my dishes looked brand new. it is affordable and works everytime. you can get it at www.dishwasherfilter.com. this will fix the problem. it fits under your sink and is easy to install. the detergent has a hard time mixing with hard water. this should work.

Will not clean dishes

Sometimes because of water pressure the inlet valve doesn't allow enough water into the machine to satisfy the float switch so you don't have enough water to completely clean the dishes.Manufacturers install whats called a flow washer to control the flow of water into the machine in case of too much water pressure. What you can do is remove the flow washer from the valve itself to allow enough water to enter the machine. The other problem could be that the water is not hot enough. Some water heaters are set to 120 deg. to save on utility bills. To clean effectively the dishwasher water temp needs to be at least 160 deg. which is the temp restaurants use to clean and sterilize their dishes. Check to see if your dishwasher has a water heat switch on the control panel that will increase the water temp to 160 deg. If not just turn up your water heater temp. To check water flow just open the door when it is finished with the first fill right before it starts washing and check to see if the float switch is satisfied. You can check it by just pushing down on it and listening for a click. Either one of these should solve your dirty dish problem. Good luck

Dishes aren't cleaning. Filling with water, rinsing then draining, refilling with water -- hot, soap released. When dishes come out, barely clean. Used to work like a charm... Thoughts?

Hi

If you are noticing that the dishes are not clean, then there are a few things to check for. Check the soap powder if it's kept in a dry environment. Also try replacing the powder with something like a gel or liquid. Next thing to check for is the water pressure and fill valve. Check if the water is filling in and the spray arms are throwing the water with enough pressure. Try and listen to the sound if you hear a proper spraying action sound.

If it seems as a low water pressure then check the fill valve. Now, check if dishwasher is draining the water or not. While the dishwasher is working check whether the dishwasher is draining and there is not much left out water after the cycle is complete. Try cleaning the spray arm with a soft brush. The water temperature plays a major role in cleaning of dishes. The temp should be between 125 and 150 F for dishwasher to clean the dishes. Hope this helps...

When wash dishes, there is gritty like food on all the dishes and we use liquid for cleaning dishes. I rinse all dishes before I place in unit.....what is the problem?

There are many probable causes of failure .

To clean the dishes the water temperature is essential. It the water is not hot then the dishes will not be cleaned properly. So check the water temperature. The water temperature should be minimum of 140 degree Fahrenheit.

Also check the filter in your dishwasher for any debris accumulation.

If you are in an hard water zone , then try reducing the amount of detergent used and then try cleaning the dishes.

Not cleaning low pressure smells hot looks like

Sounds like the dishwasher is not getting enough water during it's fill cycle due to low water pressure on supply line or the dishwasher pump is not working correctly. Could be obstructed with food matter, etc.Hope this helps

Not enough water Pressure to clean dishes, 6yr old Bosch

Replace the pump, if you go through the trouble of repairing the pump and all the disassembly and then more problems will probably ensue. As far as location it is usually located under the washer. Accessed through the front service panel. Make sure you follow all safety procedures #1 being unplug the washer or turn off breaker prior to proceeding.
