Same Problem I also got my ds knocked out of my handby my sis, and when i picked it up the screen went wierd, then i turned it off and on, and it would not always turn on and when it got the slightest amount of movement it would freeze again. untill it would just not turn on, but the green light would still go on

If you would like to calibrate your screen...
Turn the DS on without a DS card inserted (or with auto mode turned off).
Then touch the DS icon in the bottom middle of the screen.
Press the far right yellow icon, with a crosshair in it.
You will then be taken to the calibrate screen.
Touch the small red squares on the screen as they appear.

Press confirm, exit menu.

You have damaged the L2 fuse just below the power button. It is vary delicate and easy to knock of off its placement despite being soldered in.

Double check this fuse to make sure it is still in place and soldered to the contacts on both sides of the fuse.

you knocked a cable harness loose reseat all harness back together that you may have come in contact with make sure that you did not pinch one.

if you've pushed down on it to hard, that could be the problem. The touch screen and top screens are both lcd sceens so if you've pushed on both of them it may be the problem.

Did you remove the cartridge with the DS switched on? This may have damaged the game. Is the DS still ok with other games?

don't panic you probably knocked the screens ribbon cable out you will need a special screw driver(ebay).there are many good guides available on taking them apart and putting them back toghether.the trick is to take your time and be very careful.

just like the people said sell it for parts or use it for your new ds (if you get one)

take it to repair shops. have you ever dropped it hard enough to knock out one of the cable screws? its happened to me. the screws are VERY VERY small. thats all i got on this.

Something is most likely wrong with a connection to the top screen. It's going to need to be diagnosed and repaired. Don't waste your time buying a new battery or ac adapter which is a trial solution that alot of people seem to hope will work.
