i have a 01 dodge neon with a xdvd700 and i have tryed everything and with the wire and the main ground hook up worked after i trun it off and back on with the car running how do i fix that?
I have the same problem but heres the goofy part, i stripped the wire bare and connected it to the connection prong of the brake sensor and then i disconnected the e-brake it worked fine, then after the ignition was turned off the next start it had the blue screen i released the e-brake then reset it and it worked for 3 days with out a problem then today at work i went to leave and had the blue screen and wouldn work no matter what i did then when i got home i cut the yellow e-brake wire then spliced into the sensor wire and nothing, this set up is pissing me off, im going to try this switch crap and see how long that last if at all.
Guys, the solution is staring you straight in the face. Take the ebrake wire coming from the stereo, and attach it to the screw off nut on the rear of the stereo case to earth it. Thats it. Job done. Cant believe no one tried that - took me 2 minutes to figure out. Hope this helps :-)

1: Go into AM/FM mode 2: Hit "setup" on the remote control 3: Enter 543210 on the remote, listening for the beep for each number entered 4: A new menu will appear. Touch the button that has the hammer/screwdriver on it in the upper left-hand part of the screen. 5: Select Brake bypass to "ON" and hit the "X" near the bottom of the screen.
works for my 02 dodge ram cummins

Just ground out the Ebrake wire... it will work fine then. Even if you just link the ground and ebrake wire together and ground them together it works!

Basicly just get a wire from the negitive part of the battery though your firewall and connect the yellow/blue wire to it, You dont need no codes or nothing just pop the dvd in or music video and SHIBANG its there.

I'm not an xdvd700 owner, but I think, that connection e-brake wire to ignition wire in ISO connector directly will solve this problem. This helped me with JVC KD-AVX33.
But think about your safety :)

Install a toggle switch between the yellow ebrake wire and a chassis ground then when you turn on the unit when it goes to the blue screen turn the switch on then off 3 times leaving it on on the 3rd time and you'll be all set the dvd player will play while driving.
