Hi and thanks to any help you can give me...Power stays on for 5 min or less than cuts out...Have changed the fuse in the cig liter...The map does not move to current location when it stays on for that few mins...
All these problem will arise when the cradle becomes faulty.
Cradle will be at the backside of the unit.Where you plug the unit .When that particular cradle becomes faulty means the unit will turns off automaticly...So to over come this problem just replace the cradle the problem will be resolved .......

Prius2 is not powering up after one person swapped ower polarityof battery while changing it. We changed Big fuse at the front of the car and couple of small fuses. Now when pressing power button we have engine light and power button orange light fore just one sec. After it just stays dead. While pressing power button you can hear couple relays clicking for a sec and dc to dc giving hi frequency noise for the same amount of time. Help us please. This prius was manufactured in 2003. Many Thanks
If the power loss was for 5 mins of less.... just unplug it for 20 mins and plug it back in. The compressor is probably "High side cycling" and the thermal overload is tripping on the compressor every 4 - 5 minutes for about 40 seconds. Unplugging it 20 minutes will allow the coolant system to stabilize and the compressor to re-start.
Turn on the camera, then go to the menu and set the time to shut off to 5 or 10 min. These settings are usually set to 2 min. or less. This setting is to let the camera "go to sleep" or simply shut down to save battery power.
You can also try the following: Go to the set up menu, find the RESET ALL and reset all the settings to factory. Then go back to the setup menu and set the setting as you want them making sure to set the shut off time to more than 2 min.
http://geeksquad.fixya.com/ThreadView.aspx?prdid=0&thid=632385 Generic problem for all Vacuums Over heated hover Posted by blade123 on May 29, 2008 Hi there, I’ve got a upright Hoover and it cuts out after about 5 mins I think it’s over heated but if i leave it for 5 mins it works again but cuts of again how can i fix it? Hello, I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. It is possible that you my have a heat sensor, but as far as what you described you need to change both belts, the brushroll belt and the power drive belt as well and @ the same time. The average belt change is every 4 to 6 months on the vacuum. Does it stop completely or is it just the belt problem. Or #2 is the vacuum giving off a burning smell other than the belts and if it does it could be the motor. Other wise , please call the factory or a local Hoover warranty station in your area. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions. http://www.hoover.com Telephone Contact our Customer Service Department at 1.330.499.9499 Monday through Friday 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. EST Thanks, Don the Vac Man Go Ahead. Hi: Sounds like it might be an overheating part, and the short is shutting of the set. Or it could be an intermittent connection in the pc board. Either case it would have to be repaired by a expert. sorry.
