"No Disc" on my Philips HTS-6500/37 system. I have read about this problem before and just considered myself lucky that I didn't have it. Well, now I have it. Whether you push the disc in manually, or use the open/close button, most of the time it will not load and display "No Disc". I have read solutions here that talk about replacing the laser. When I insert a disk and it fails, I never even hear the disc spinning. On the rare occasion that it does work, I hear the disc spinning first, then it beeps, and then the display goes from "load" to "multichannel". Is it possible that it is a sensor problem and not a laser problem? Or does the laser have to "see" the disc and then tell the rotor to start spinning?
