Question about RCA OPAL M4001 MP3 Player
When I plug in the opal into the computer it says "profiling requires 4 mb of space" and then immediately shuts down. But when unplugging it and re-plugging it into the same USB port--it now says... USB connected and begins to charge. But my computer still won't recognize the opal--even while it says: USB connected. It also says that the device driver software failed to install. What do I need to do?
I just got my Opal about a month agao, and I recieved the same error message my laptop or desktop won't even recognize when the Opal is plugged in. I tried to move the hold key but that did not help. Please someone HELP ME!!!

Make sure the Hold Button - it's on the side of the Opal - is off. When the hold button is on, it makes the Opal think the Flash disk is full, and you get all kinds of wacky reactions.
Hope this helps...
