Question about Sony ICF-SW77 AM/FM/SW Radio
For some reason, my ICF-SW77 won't operate on batteries. Even with brand new batteries, I still get the flashing dead battery symbol in the display. I disassemblied it and couldn't find any visible problems. I thought I read somewhere long time ago that you need to plug it into an AC outlet periodically if you're not going to use it for a long time. Would that have something to do with the problem?? Any solution would be appreciated. Thanks!!
Late with this answer.... Battery tabs sometimes loose contact with signal board near volume slide, possible solution is to reapply solder and bend contacts slightly.
