I have a 14 MG internet speed, but even so the streaming on the sling box is under 400 so the image is freezing.

I assume the problem is remote viewing on the Sling Player.

You may have 14Mb broadband access, but that is only the DOWNLOAD speed. Most broadband services actually have upload speeds <400Kb. So that is a fixed limit to how well your slingplayer will perform anywhere, regardless of the speed of the remote broadband connection.

Some of the cable services offer higher upload speeds (up to 750Kb). If you want higher than that, you have to go for one of the business broadband options, with symmettric download/upload speeds.

Regardless of the speed available, the sling player should optimise speed according to the minimum bandwidth available across the total route to your home slingbox. Make sure you haven't disabled automatic optimisation on the Slingplayer. . If you force the speed too high, the remote player will be unable to buffer, and you will get freezing and dropouts.

I have a few android boxes and watch stream tv but lately they have been freezing up and buffering a lot what can I do to fix this problem? Internet speed is 50 MHZ.

If those android boxes have a slot for an SD card, put a card in and see if it helps. You say the internet speed is 50 mhz. Is that what you're paying for or actually measured with using an internet speed test software?
You may be being throttled if there are a lot of users in your neighborhood, Test your speed first before contacting your internet provider.

Netflix is on my TV, the Tv came with it. It freezes sometimes when I am watching nextflx

Netflix is a media streaming service and needs a faster ibternet speed so check your internet speed. Wifi is always slower. So maybe try connecting your internet direct to your TV if it is not already. If it is already directly connected check the ibternet speed 10 mg or more is better. If you have Del that may be a slow connection check with your internet. Provider. For a faster download speed.

Why does it freeze trying to,get programs

Typically stream freezing is caused by a slow Internet, or download speed. Unfortunately most Internet service providers don't give you their full speeds as advertised, and some actually "throttle-down" you speed during heavy usage periods, leaving the user wondering why everything got so slow. 5Meg download speeds are sufficient to handle a single High-Def stream, yet uninterrupted lower resolutions can be achieved at just over 1Meg. Then there's the compression technology used to send the stream. Netflix for instance has excellent compression, and will also automatically detect a slower connection, reducing the quality, or resolution, delivered.
You can try testing your upload, and download speeds at a number of test sites... Try Googling "Speed test" here's an example: Speedtest net by Ookla The Global Broadband Speed Test
Unfortunately these tests don't provide a complete picture of what's happening when applied to streaming results, as providers usually allow a few minutes of top speed initially then begin their slow-down.
I'm able to stream two separate movies, uninterrupted, from Netflix, at just under 3Meg, on DSL. Some cable providers claim high speeds, but curiously are unable to deliver uninterrupted streams unless you upgrade your service at an additional monthly cost?

I have a Roku 2, live in the country and am trying to play a movie. It keeps stopping a reloading. what is wrong or what can I do?

Roku is an excellent streaming media player, but is ultimately limited by the delivery rate of your ISP's (Internet Service Provider's) continuous download speeds, used for streaming over the internet. ( Check what kind of speeds you're getting...) Go to http://www.speedtest.net/ and click on "Begin Test" There are a number of websites you can use to check your connection speed to see if this is the source of the issue.
Most often, a slow connection, (under 300kbps) will cause the issues you've described. The slower the connection, the bigger the problem. This is most observable on Roku channels that don't detect, or compensate for slower connections, especially at high definition streaming rates.
( 720 High-Def streams work well above 1.5Mbps download rates, and 5Mbps is recommended as good rate for 1080 viewing)
At just under 3Mbps over DSL, we're able to watch two movies at the same time, in different rooms, on Netfix, at 720. I've heard that some people are experiencing issues watching just one movie delivered with a cable modem... Not sure what's going on there?
Some Roku Channels are better than others at delivering the best possible viewing experience. Some use poor compression technologies, or only deliver a 1080 Definition image. Using the best compression technology, detecting best streaming rate, etc... are where the most successful Roku channels come in.
Netflix for instance attempts to detect the optimum streaming rates for slower speed connections, and automatically compensates by reducing image definition when needed.
You might try selecting a lower definition for your display from the settings menu on your Roku device... I've seen some improvement with loading issues, by choosing a lower definition display for your television, even though you might be using a high-def television.

Long time buffering videos; video streams freeze

If a streaming video takes a long time buffering from Youtube or another website, it's because your internet connection is slow. If your video freezes up and jitters, that might be your internet connection and/or the video card is working too hard.

Go to this website and run the speed test for the city closest to you and let us know what your connection speeds are (download/upload). This will help us determine if the problem is the internet connection speed or something else:

Video downloads stop and start every 2 sec

it is either your internet connection speed /modem/router or possibly your video card.
Youtube uses a lot of video processing to stream a video and it takes a lot of internet speed to capture that video from the internet user.
what speed is your internet. I would recommend at least 4 mg download speed.
check your speed here and let us know.
