Its probly your ipod. the new classics arent compatible with alot of dock connector related acesories. before you get to angry about your ipod try it with some of your friends crappy old ones to see if they work still. if they dont work then take your deck back but if they do work then you might want to take the deck back and try to find a newer model. good luck ; )

How do I connect IPOD (Generation 5) to my AVR 135?

RCA cable should only be sending sound through the headphone jack to the amp not files. This would then be selectable through an AV or external source rather than USB or iPod option

Catastrophe. A corrupted mp3 caused my Ipod to dump all files and now Itunes cannot read it to do a restore. Is there anything else I can do?.

Are you sure this was a corrupt MP3 that went on to the iPod, rather than an MP3 that the iPod itself corrupted?

Maybe as a result of a dying hard disk?

I cant download to my ipod i cant get sync in itunes..how do i download songs to my ipod

You just need to import your songs into iTunes library, then make a playlist with the songs, connect your iPod to computer, iTunes will detect the iPod automatically, then click iTunes menu "File -> Sync iPod", the songs will be transferred from iTunes to iPod.
If iTunes not works for you, You may try this ipod transfer, it's a nice iTunes alternative that can help you manage iPod files including delete, upload, play, copy, etc. It's much easier to use than iTunes.

When I connect my ipod to my LG 42PJ6 via the usb connection it recognises the ipod but does not show any files, how can I resolve this to play music?

The music files in your ipod is in a different format and not mp3 format which will not be recognizable if you connect it to your LG tv. Unfortunately your tv will just read mp3 files.

I dropped my ipod classic 80 gb. It can't be detected when i sync to my computer. I did a hard restart but it it says that my files will be deleted when i restore it with itunes. I dont wanna lose my files...

The only way to save the files is by connecting it to pc and storing them in a file. Try checking the usb connection inside the ipod. If there are any broken wires or solder joints, re-solder them or anything you can do to get it to connect.

Try connecting it, go to control panel, the ipod should be able to found on the I: drive.

try deleteing everything on it before you plug it in, it could just mean there is a corrupt file on your ipod that the computer cant read.

8gb mp3/mp4 player

If your iPod is frozen or won't turn on, your iPod may be paused or on "hold." Slide the Hold switch and check the screen.

If your iPod is frozen or won't turn on, connect your iPod to your computer, then press and hold the "Menu" and "Select" buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds to reset the iPod. Resetting an iPod will not affect your files or preferences.

If your iPod fails to hold a charge and it's more than a year old, you may need a new battery.

If all else fails, file a complaint with ebay stating you were sold something that was not properly described - unless the seller made it clear there were issues with the unit.

Hope this helps some!
