Re: my drive

When i put my LG DVD Writer Solution Disc into the LG Disc Player a message comes up The system DLL user 32.ll was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly. The relocation occurred because the DLL C:\WINDOWS\ system32\SHELL32.dll occupied an address range reserved for Windows system DLLs.The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL.

Re: my drive

The NEC DV-5800a is a DVD-ROM drive and not DVD-R or DVD +R. As for reading DVD-Rs, it maybe not be compatible with the type you are using or possibly the method with which it was burned.

That would be a problem with your sound board or your speakers. A DVD Drive reads the information off of the DVD, and unless the DVD itself has no sound recorded, it should play sound.

Try reconnecting your speakers. I hope this helps.

Hello,I have been using LG Secure Disc for 1 year. Now when i insert some DVDs in this it doesn't read them however it plays some original DVDs.Can i myself do something that it starts playing those...

OK, by the information that you provided it appears that the problem you have is with burned DVD copies of original DVD's. There are three possible reasons for this:
1. Your drive just doesn't like burned DVD's. This is the most unlikely of the situations but it does happen. Sometimes a firmware update will resolve that problem and I recommend a firmware update regardless of how your proceed. You didn't provide the model number but this appears to be the firmware update for your model as described. If not, browse LG's site for the exact one.
2. Bad/Cheap Media: Cheap media is the most common reason for copies not being read by some DVD drives and stand-alone units. Always use higher quality media for your burns. Verbatim is probably the absolute best and most reliable. I also use Sony and TDK as well. Avoid off-brands like the plague.
3. Burning Software: The second most common cause of burned DVD's not working. LG's I believe come with Power DVD OEM now (I know my Blu-Burner did) and they used to come with Nero. But they use to come with Nero and older versions of Nero were notorious for their burns not being compatible with certain drives (the problem was resolved in later releases) so I recommend for your burns that you use either the OEM of the software that came with your burner or a the latest version of Nero.
Now, if we're talking about DVD's of movies (which I assume that you are because you mentioned that the originals "play" and when talking about data, people don't normally use the word "play.") then that means you're using a keybreaker software to break security features and CSS keys and a separate software to burn (or you're using DVDFab which is notorious for failure rates). That's a problem because often the two different programs like that don't play nice. So here's what I recommend. Go to SlySoft and download the two greatest DVD burning products ever made, AnyDVD and CloneDVD2. They are separate products designed for each other and AnyDVD is the best keybreaker in existence and it's constantly updated and in conjunction with CLoneDVD2 it makes perfect 1:1 copies of your DVD's that will NEVER fail (provided you use decent media) in ANY drive. Both products have a 14 day free trial on them with no personal information required so test-drive them for yourself to find out how great they are.

Reconise discs

Hey there zero78, If you open up Nero Start Smart, and then Tools, and then Nero Info Tool. Here you will see what Nero reads as your drives abilities and limitations. Check the supported read and write features to see if they match your cd. Also, are the CDs you try to play burned or purchased and if burned, are they multi-session. Many players have problems with multi-session disks. Good Luck!

depending on what the file you have theres several ways .You didn't say whether you want to copy or make a dvd movie so i'll give you a few ideas get nero once installed then you need a dvd writer-not a dvd rom the rom will only read and the write will write then get some dvd r+ or dvd rw + insert if you want to burn a file from your pc like a dvd movie which is in dvd format, not an avi file from a torrent site but a dvd rip then place a new dvd in your burner select nero and tell it to burn the dvd with the options for dvd if you want to copy a dvd use nero's options to copy there are other programs you can use it's all up to you

If you switched to a different brand of DVD's try using the brand you used before. DVD burners are tested with certain brands of DVD's and sometimes the brands that aren't on that list don't work.
