The unit was purchased new.
I did not install the unit for 2 years left in box on shelf
Installed it finally, and everything worked gret for about 10 hrs of use.
Now I try to play cd's and I get this 05 error code.
We'll,
I looked that up in the manual and it says that, the disk is in the wrong way.
I have it in the correct way, Still not playing the disc.
anyone have a clue on this?
I paid $600 and change for this 25th ani and
I feel I have been had. There is no question, the unit is installed correctly.
I have the same Kenwood unit and mine worked great for over 2 years.... I now get the same 05 error code whenever i insert any cds.... I havent yet been able to find anything about this on the net... I am about to take the cd player in for the extended warranty I purchased with it.... It is by far the best cd player that I have ever owned...............
I had a similar problem with a brand new Kenwood unit. I started the cd in until I got the "LOAD" message on the screen and could feel the unit attempting to pull the cd in. I held gentle presure on the cd until the unit tjected the cd. Then I re-inserted the cd and the unit began to play correctly. I'm no expert, but I beleive this may have something to do with re-aligning the 2 pins in the front inside the unit which accept and eject the cd.
