Re: my ipod not turning on

Yeah...funny thing i went through the samething it's kind of confusing but what you'll have to do is try holding down "Menu and select" at the same time once you see the apple hold down either "select and play" or "select and fastf" it should go in bootloader mode or diskjump what ever you wanna call it then plug it to the computer see if you can get some type of charge you may have to get a charger but once you get some type of battery it will be ok then you'll have to reformat the ipod it should work badck to normal if it doesn't write me at

Ok... so i was listening to my ipod touch this morning and the it just froze. now it wont let me touch the screen or do anything with it. it just doesnt move or anything, i've closed it, ive tried to turn...

First turn it off, if it can. Then, click on the home button and plug the cord to the computer and ipod. Keep holdin' the home button until the connect to itunes sign shows. Then, on itunes hold shift and click update and then update it to the version you have to download the version you have go to
then select your ipod firmware. i do not think this deletes your songs and media.

Doesnt turn on.

This same thing happened to me. I was playing fantastic contraption and my ipod screen just went black and wouldnt turn back on. When I plugged it in to a charger, it made that charging noise, but wouldnt turn on. SOLUTION: try holding in the sleep/wake(power) button, and the home button at the same time for about 15 seconds or until you see the white apple logo. That worked for me, hope you get it fixed.

My ipod wont turn on or charge.

More than likely the battery just needs to be replaced. I let my nano go dead and it was doing the same thing. So just get it replaced and that should fix your problem.

My ipod doesnt turn on and nothing works... it doesnt charge and when i plugg it to the computer nothing comes up on itunes so i cant even restore it or anything, ive tried everything... please help

1. Make sure the Hold switch is off
2. Make sure the battery is charged
3. Reset iPod
4. Let iPod's battery drain
5. Update iPod's software
6. Make sure iPod is the only device in your FireWire or USB chain. Disconnect everything but the mouse, keyboard, and your iPod, then see if it will turn on.
7. Make sure you are using the FireWire or USB cable that came with your iPod, and that the cable is in good condition.
8. Try connecting iPod to the built-in port of a different computer to see if that works.

IF all the above is checked and if ur ipod still remains same please take it to an apple store and check with them!..thank you!!..

It Won't Turn On

Try the recovery mode mentioned in the manual if a simple reset does not work. Go to if the manual has been misplaced.

Ipod corrupted

You'll need to format your iPod.

There is 2 way's i know of you do this first one is to go to iTunes when your iPod is plugged in, now click on your iPod then click on "Restore" this will restore it to previours setting also should restore the corrupted it spoke of when you tryed turning it on.

If you've tryed formatting it through iTunes but was unsuccessful, try through my computer. Follow these steps below:

First click on "Start" - now click on "My Computer", now look for your iPod usually named "Removable Disk", once you've found it, right-click on it then click "Format", once format is complete, unplug your iPod then try it now.

Good luck. Hope my solution was helpful. Further problems leave a comment on here and i'll get back to you.
