Emachines 3090 keyboard

Im having so much trouble right now i want to find out if my laptop will support another ram but can find out how to remove the keyboard i seriously need help. i was wondering if anyone would know about the above system and could tell me how to remove the keyboard, or if they know whether it will support another ram under the keyboard??? i currently have 1gb running hom premium. i started with 512mb, 40gb and home basic. i now have 120gb, 1gb and home premium. 1gb is still not enough, i am getting 2gb ram but it would be good to keep my 1gb and stick that in as well. does anyone know also where i can get the cheapest 250gb 2.5 sata hard drive??? i have found one for £72 i would like to know if i can get it cheaper??

Where dom i insert new memmory in a dell latitude d820 computer?

1. Remove the keyboard bezel with a flathead screwdriver.
2. Remove three screws securing the keyboard
3. Unplug the keyboard cable from the motherboard and remove the keyboard. The internal RAM (memory) slot is located under the keyboard, right above the touch pad buttons.

Where is the RAM located? Back panel? Under the

Hi,

Good day, to locate your ram follow these steps:

- Laptops often have their RAM located on the underside of the system. Some systems place the RAM right under the keyboard.
- Locate the memory bay. It is usually a sliding panel.
- If you open the bay to the hard driver instead, look for the other sliding panel.
- You may need a small philips screwdriver to unscrew the panel, or, as below, you may need to simply need a flathead to lever the panel upwards for removal.

Hope this information help you a bit. Have a great day.

How do i change add ram in a toshiba laptop satellite a25-s279 . I don't see on the bottom where to the ram would be?

It's easy to make the old ram-switch-a-roo if there is no trap-door access on the bottom. expose the top of the keyboard by gently removing the trim cover that's in the way (you may see notches on either end to aide in prying up). Remove the 3 screws - there's a bracket on the center one - take note how it goes. Warning - the keyboard is tethered by a ribbon strip/cable - you'll see it underneath the keyboard - leave it attached - it may be a big hassle to put back the right way! Gently lay the keyboard upside down (you may have to remove the protective cover (one screw) over the ribbon). you'll see the memory on the left. lift the plastic shield back and carefully see how to unseat the stick (there is a clamp/arm on each end) then plug-in and then snap-in the new one - it's notched so it can only go in one way. If you do everything GENTLY and can remember the steps you took so you can put the thing back together, you should be OK. You just saved yourself a nice little pile of cash.

Where is the memory ram located in the compaq n610c laptop?

Notebook, (Laptop), open, look at the panel to the Left of the Touchpad. This is the Memory Compartment Cover.

To open the cover you must remove the Keyboard.

To remove the Keyboard:
1.Remove the AC adapter, (Charger), if plugged in. Remove the battery. There must be NO electrical source!

2.Work on a table.
I have to state this because of Static issues.
Static will fry out delicate computer components.
You may not see it or feel it. Working directly on a carpet floor, a bed, or a couch, is a No-No. These are High areas of Static!

3.Turn the laptop over on it's top. In the Middle of the back is a single screw. (Philips head screw. Size TM2.5 x 7.0)
Remove it.

4.Turn the laptop back over to it's normal position, front facing you. Open the laptop. Lay the LCD screen all the way down, Away from you. I advise putting a lint free soft cloth over the screen, to help prevent accidental damage.

Release the locking tabs that hold the Keyboard in.

Slide the four tabs at the top of the Keyboard, Forward. (Slide them towards you. These tabs are located as follows;
A.To the Left of the F1 key
B.To the Left of the F5 key
C.To the Left of the F9 key
D.To the Right of the F12 key

Lift the Top of the Keyboard up, (Top of keyboard faces LCD screen), swing it up and Forward, (Towards the LCD screen), until it rests on the LCD screen.

Now you can lift the Memory Expansion Compartment Cover. (Lift the Left side, swing the cover forward) Remove the cover, lay it aside.

To remove a Ram Memory Module: (Ram stick)
Spread the Retaining Tabs, that hold the Ram Memory Module in place.

(The silvery metal clips, that you see on each side of the ram stick. You'll note that they have rounded protrusions on them, or 'Bumps'. These bumps go into a notch on the ram stick. The Retaining Tabs only need to be spread far enough, so that the bump is clear of the notch)

CAUTION!
The ram modules come out at a 45 DEGREE ANGLE. They DO NOT come straight up.

If you lift them straight up you will bend the tiny pins on the ram module, (Stick), and render the ram module useless! You can also damage the laptop's ram slot!

To install a ram module:
Angle the ram module at a 45 degree angle, line it up with the slot. BE AWARE that each ram module has a Locating Notch on the bottom of it.

The Locating Notch lines up with a Locating Lug in the bottom of the ram slot.

It's a bit of a balancing act your first time, but you use your forefingers and thumbs to hold the ram module, and also spread the Retaining Clips, while inserting the ram module.

You should hear a satisfying click, click, as each retaining clip 'Bump', clicks into the notch on the side of the ram module.

Memory uprgrade

You have to remove the keyboard, under the keyboard to the left is a heat shield (silver metal cover), remove it. Your ram is located there. Just take your time and remember where the screws go.

Installing RAM to Maxdata ECO 3100x

The ram is sited under the keyboard, to remove undo case screws on underneath of laptop. Then, where the keyboard bottom edge meets the laptop case yo will find 3 lugs... which can be pushed in. Lift off keyboard, then undo access panel on right side of laptop. There you will see the 2 memory slots.

Laptop screen goes blue Memory parity error

The RAM in the laptop is faulty and needs to be replaced. What you can do is open the bottom where is will be marked (M) for memory or (R) for RAM. It depends on your model you have. (K) is for keyboard removal. Note since you haven't stated which model you have the RAM could be under the keyboard then you would have to remove the keyboard screws on the button.

If this is a newer laptop then the RAM is on the bottom just remove the screws and place those screws on a white paper or better yet in a paper cup. One of the biggest issues I see it a lot of techs loose the screws when they take apart the laptop. This way you know where they are. Also good to mark the paper which screws they are for too.

Now remove the RAM with the power off and the battery out. Take one stick out and try it again. See if you still get that error. If you don't then you know which one is bad and need to be replace. Note most of the newer and prior laptops video memory was shared RAM meaning it used the same RAM on the main system.

Now if you only have one stick of RAM in the system and it's bad then you have solved your problem. Just replace that with the right RAM. If you don't know which one to buy go to the maker of the laptop web site and look up your model by code serial number or service tag number.

I'm upgrading Ram Compaq R3200 laptop

Found my solution. Was under keyboard. Required opening laptop as far as possible, removing 3 screws from the back that hold the piece of plastic just above the keyboard. With flathead screwdriver lift the right corner of the plastic piece then, with the same screwdriver lift the top center of the plastic piece to remove the piece entirely. Unscrew the 4 screws that hold the keyboard (across the top) and lay they keyboard forward (toward you). THERE is the Ram.
