Remove the battery at the back of the ds to reset it, to do this you will need a small phillipes screw driver, and a small knife to flip the battery out.
When the battery has been removed turn the ds over and and rub your finger quite hard around the far edge of the bottem screen all the way around, do this a few times.
Turn the ds back over and re-insert the battery and the cover. Turn the ds on and set up your name etc, once set up go to the little icon on the bottem of the screen that looks like the ds, then go to the yellow icon on the right to calibrate the touch screen, if all goes well you should now have the touch screen back. Post back if not, you may need to open the ds and check the connector on the logic board.
This issue can be fixed, sometimes a bit of pressure applied to the outer rim of the screen can fix the problem. More tecnical fixes are to open the ds and check the small ribbon cable at the left of the slot1 socket above the wireless connector, make sure the cable is in properly. Next if all that fails a new touch screen is probably needed.
If you would like to calibrate your screen... Turn the DS on without a DS card inserted (or with auto mode turned off). Then touch the DS icon in the bottom middle of the screen. Press the far right yellow icon, with a crosshair in it. You will then be taken to the calibrate screen. Touch the small red squares on the screen as they appear.
You need to recalibrate it. You can do that by taking out all games and booting it. Use your thumbpad to navigate to the calibrate option since the screen/stylus the problem.
you have a blind ds screen! I had this problem so I got a new one but if you bought it with game you can have it fixed for free but if not it-s £40-£60 to repair
Chances are, you have your calibration in such a way that your DS wants yout o try again to make sure that your calibrateing it right. Something set it way off probably so small adjustments to star *** back on the right calibration will do well. Hope I helped!
calibrate the touch screen ....start your ds with no game in it and click on the small ds at the bottom of the screen, next ,touch the yellowbox on the right and follow the calibration instructions.......if you cant get it to work then change the touch screen......good luck
on the top right hand side of the screen just under the front there are four or five contact pads this is where the touch screen get the info from the touch screen to the ds itself if you have taken the ds apart maybe the pads are slightly out of line this can be fixed by applying light pressure to the pads to make them stick down and get a proper contact
