Question about Pioneer DEH-P7500MP CD Player

Will not do anything

Help! My head unit will not do anything except change volume. It was working fine, until I changed the station and then all buttons/dials do not work at all. The tuner worked on the one station until I put a CD in. Now it only plays CD's and I cannot change the songs or skip songs. The only button that works is the volume. I have tried taking the whole unit out of the dash and disconnecting it, but that doesn't work either. What should I do????

Most units will use vacuum generated by the engine to help move the dampers. I would bet that might be your culprit.

Everything works on this unit except FM. I can't tune any FM stations in. If i choose Search it just searches until I stop it. The presets which are set to FM stations are set to the correct frequencies...

Your tuner section is bad and needs to be repaired by a qualified repair technician. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, Windle.

Hello

Volume + power resets it - making the player turn off lets you know that the reset work

Will it play non-radio music files fine?

Once again, when you change the radio station, you must press the play or right-pointing arrow button, or it will just continue playing the last radio station that you had it turned to

If it still won't change, then autoprogram the unit and select presets like it suggests in pp.32-35 of the manual

Works sporadically

Sounds like your head unit is on it's way out, you could try cleaning the contacts of the face plate plate with rubbing alchol and a q-tip. Make sure you get both sets of contacts, the face and radio.Because the display is working it's definatly not a power problem, clean those contacts and if still doesn't work invest in a new radio, sorry to bear bad news if it's not the contacts.
