Generic problem for all Hard Drives

Seagate external 2.0 USB 60GB harddrive (by 2 users)

posted by saint24 on Nov 30, 2007

I have some data backed up on the harddrive (mixture .avi and.exe) have been using it to backup files from both my MAC and windows XP computer. It doesn't read in the MAC and when i try to read in in Windows it says "f: is not formatted, would you like to format now" Have tried running PC recovery software which says the drive is badly damaged. How can i save the files on the hard drive?
I have the same problem.
