Check the card it's self. There should be a little thing off the most likely left side that you can slide to unlock the card. It might even say unlock.

Take the memory card out of the camera and look on the left side of the card. There is a little switch which you can lock. Turn the switch up and that should solve the problem

The Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z6 will not read the 8 GB card

The Z6 uses MMC and SD cards. If you look carefully at your 8GB card, you'll see that it's an SDHC card. While it fits into the slot, it is electronically incompatible and will not work. The Z6 is limited to cards 2GB and smaller.

Konica minolta dimage z6 card locked. how do i unlock it

Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

If that doesn't work, try another card.

Unable to use card

Firstly, what size memory hard do you have? Is it an SDHC? Secondly, have you checked that the memory card isn't locked (there is a switch on the side of it). Has it worked with other memory cards?

Konica Minolta Z2 SDHC reading card

Spare yourself the trouble. I had researched it (I thought) and got one, and stuck it in. The screen read: "Unable to use," It continued to read this, even after I formatted the card, so I ended up giving it to my brother, who has a Kodak camera. Sorry!
