that;s a weird one...are you sure it;s the original mite try purchasing a univesal remote...youll have to look yp the code of your tv in the manual which is provided when you buy the universal remote, and program it in to the tv follow the instructions, its not too hard.

I have a disney tv and the phillips codes do not work. Does anyone know of different codes besides 0417 and 0115:

Follow the same steps to enter a code but instead of entering code press the channel up button repeatedly until it turns the tv channel and when it changes (dont press up again or else you will have to do it over again). When you get the remote to change channel STOP! and press the enter/ok, or similar button to lock the code in and you should be set. Good luck. If you follow the steps and it doesnt work the first couple of times dont be discouraged, Trust me all universal remotes allow you to set up you universal remote this way i guess they already know people lose the universal remotes instruction manual with all the codes in it! Hope this helps GOOD LUCK too you. Hope this works out for you!!

Setup a one for all remote what is the 4 digit code number for my tv I have a 1997 Zenith

I've only only one digit code with me. It is "0634". It is the remote code for Zenith HDSAT_420, HDSAT_520, HDSAT_1080. Sometimes this may work with your TV also.

  1. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
  2. Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
  3. Enter the 4 digit code from the code tables. Note: after a valid code entry, the red indicator turns off. For an invalid code, the red indicator flashes.
  4. With your device on, press CHANNEL UP. If the device responds, no further programming is required. Note: If some buttons do not operate your device, try one of the other codes for your brand.

  1. Manually turn on the device (TV, VCR, etc.) to be controlled.
  2. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
  3. Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks once, then stays on.
  4. Press the CHANNEL UP button repeatedly (up to 300 times) until the device to be controlled changes channel. The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
  5. Press and release MUTE to install the code. The indicator light goes off.

I have a small Zenith tv...model #19A11D . I just started using it after a long time. I can't get the remote to work well. It's very hard to put in the channel numbers. Often no matter how hard I press,...

Sorry, but no, although you can get a phillips universal remote control. It is awesome, it also comes with a manual and a book of codes and instructions on how to program it to your tv or dvd player. hope this helps

Unlockin all the channels

In order to get all the channels u have to have the original remote or a universal remote that has a menu button, an enter button, and directional pad (the directional pad cannot control the volume and channels it must be for navigating). push and hold the menu button, the menu will appear then disappear, once it disappears release the button and enter 9876 then press enter. a different menu will appear and it will b three black lines, one at the top of the screen, one in the middle and one at bottom. the middle line has 3 sections the first part is the item number the second part is the description and the last part is the on/off switch using either a 0 or 1. push down on the directional pad until u get to the 00 factory settings 0 and change the 0 to a 1 with the right button on the directional pad. then scroll up to 20 channel lock 0 (i think its 20, it may be like 22 but it is in the twenties for sure) and change the 0 to a 1. then go back down to the 00 factory settings and change the 1 back to 0 then turn the tv off. when u turn the tv back on it will either automatically ask u to auto tune or u will have to go to auto program to program the channels. there are like 80 different menu items, be sure not to mess with any other ones unless u know what ur doing, u could cause ur tv not to function properly or even be able to turn on.

this problem frustrated me greatly and im very happy to help whoever i can with the solution

How do i eliminate a black rectangular block on my 25" zenith tv?

You have the closed-captioning turned on and set to "text" mode. It's easy to do on Zeniths because many of their remotes have on button just to control the captioning. Go to the caption settings and turn it off or set it to "caption" mode if you want to use it. Then the box will be gone.

(What's happening is that in text mode, the screen is blanked out in the area where the text would go, but there isn't any text being sent by the station. On channels where no captioning at all is used, the box never shows up.)

Sentry universal remote

I wish someone would bring a suit against any of these manufacturers using the term 'universal.'
At best, they are 'multibrand' and, with the proliferation of 'brands,' there never will be one that can rightfully claim to be 'universal.'
There may never be a code for your brand available in every remote.

The instructions for searching for a code are pasted below stolen from another site:

steps for programing the rmc10 sentry really big universal remote
1, Manually turn on the device(TV, VCR, etc.) to be controlled.
2. Press and hold the code search button until the red indicator stays on, then release the code search button.
3. Press and quickly release the desired mode button (TV, VCR, ect.). The red indicator blinks off once.
4. Press the Channel up button repeatedly(up to 300 times) until the device to be controlled changes channel. The red indicator blinks off with each button press. If you accidentally overshoot the code required, press channel down button to backtrack through the library until device changes channel. Pressing Channel up changes direction forward again.
5. Press and release Mute to install code.

Lost remote codes & how to manual

Hello everyone,

OK Listen Up! `=] I found the solution to everyone's problem.

Got to this website and click on the brand name of your universal remote (Philips, RCA, whatever).

Next, download the corresponding file with all of the remote codes. This will be a great help. It comes with all of the universal codes for most TV sets, and also instructions on how to setup and install the remote code.

But, must be patient. The PDF file is very huge so the remote code is not going to jump out at you and shout "HERE I AM!". You have to READ and look for it.

The way I found my universal code was by pressing the channel up button (over 300 times, literally) until the channel on the tv changed. That is what the instructions told me to do, and that's what I did. So, when all else fails, just FOLLOW DIRECTIONS! I know it may be long and painful, but trust me it was worth it! I got my remote control to finally work!

Good Luck!

Gary M.

- By the way, sorry for the long reply. I tend to babble a lot. `=]

Zenith tv model # H27H38DT

You can get the installation guide for a Zenith H27H38DT free at the following location. Look on page 36 to go into the VIDEO MENU and set PICTURE PREF to PRESET. That should restore the factory settings, so try that first. If you go into the actual Installer Menu on page 41, proceed with caution.

Zenith Concierge H25W35DT 27"

The CORRECT answer is you must purchase a LP702 remote. Google it to find one to buy. You must unlock channels and program the channels fresh.
Some standard zenith remotes allow you to reset the tv by popping off the cover of the remote and pressing an unmarked button.
