Water & soap was coming out of the dishwaster. Replaced the seal around the door. Ran again on a pots & pan cycle to clean & it worked fine. Ran a normal cycle with dishes & soap & water came flowing out of the bottom now. Any ideas?

- Yes we are using dish washer detergent only.

- Pots and pans cycle is heavier duty & very hot water. The pots & pans cycle we only had the bottle of cleaning solution in the silverware rack. We are using the same amount of soap. The problem suddenly occured & we do not use a water softener (city water). I tried the float switch & there was stuff in there. It seems to be free moving now. I also found a jar lid stuck in the bottom & removed it. Tried running it again & the bubbles starting coming out of the bottom of the dishwasher. When I ran the clear cycle the bubbles were still left in the bottom of the dishwasher & bubbles came out of the air vent on the sink too. When I stopped the cycles the bubbles looked like they were ready to flow over the bottom lip.
That sounds like the float switch is acting up. It is a mushroom looking device on the bottom that has a movable (up and down) plastic cup over the top. With the machine off, take the lower tray out and lift up on the cup--you should hear a faint 'click' when it nears the upper limit. It should also drop to the bottom when released. There may be food deposits that interfere with the proper movement of the cup. Are you using dish washer detergent only?

- What is the difference between 'pots and pans' cycle and 'normal' cycle? Do you use more, less, or same amount of soap with each cycle? Did this problem appear suddenly or get worse over time? Do you use a water softener? Open the door during a 'normal' cycle and check for excessive suds and the level of water. If a lot of suds, try a different brand of detergent. If the water is ready to flow over the top of the bottom lip, the float switch is not working correctly.

- Your recent comments help a lot. It appears that the water pump is pumping AIR as well as water/soap, which explains all the bubbles showing up. Remove the bottom tray and tear the spray arm and everything under it down to the deck. Note the position and orientation of everything as you remove things. There should be a large screen at the bottom which filters solids from the water before being pumped back through the wash--soak the screen in a mixture of white vinegar and hot water for a while to remove water deposits. Also, check the screen for any warping or cracks. When you get down to the pump, start looking for cracked, broken, or warped plastic components and loose or stripped screws. Also, inspect the various water passages for possible plugging. There could be defective gaskets/o-rings in this area. I hope this solves the problem because I'm about out of ideas.

kenmore 655.13222 k601 bought 5 months ago after insalation machine stops and clean light comes on flashing. had a repair man in changed circut board. month later of same issues told us the drain was not connected properly. today had a service man in and a wire was off to the element. now it runs a full cycle. what i would like to know is how long should all the cycles be if set to normal or fast etc. and when heated dry is selected should dished be fully dry . cause on normal - with heated dry turned on - everything is still wet like machine just turned off nore do the modes on the dishwasher change ie light stays on for normal clean but never lights up at rinse or drying just normal to clean? any one any ideas?

It leaks out of the float switch, occasionally. I think it comes from the float switch because it drips off the bottom of the switch. When it leaks the amounts vary from hardly any to a cup.
