Please check at the back of your computer if your are using on board/ and at the same time you have a video card, maybe its hooked up to onboard while it is not enabled since that you have the separate video card. try to unhooked it and put it in the other video slot. see if this will help you out.

have a nice day!!

HP w2207 no vga input signal, no dvi input signal monitor goes to sleep

There is no signal coming from your PC.
excuse some of the solutions as sounding dumb, but we have to explore all possibilities.

Check the power cable going into the computer
Check the power input disconnect switch on the back of the power supply and make sure it is on
If the pc is plugged into a power bar, make sure it is turned on and the breaker isn't tripped
press power on the PC and make sure the lights are coming on.

now for the solutions that may actually help.

disconnect the power from the PC
if the video is on a card, remove and re-seat the video card
hook the power back up, connect the monitor and try again.

the CMOS on the computer may need to be reset.
I hate totally clearing the CMOS, so what I usually do is remove 1 stick of ram and power up. If the system is alive again, power down, put the RAM back in and power back up.
If that doesn't work, turn the system off, put the CMOS jumper to the CLEAR position for 15 seconds, put it back to the Normal position and then power back up.

Basically, if the monitor works on your friends system but not on yours, the the problem is your system, not the monitor (assuming it isn't working fine til it gets into windows...if that's the problem, you have a driver or configuration problem)

I am using this monitor with our CCTV system, it is not currently displaying the video. As I cycle through the inputs the video image will display for about 3 seconds before disappearing.

Hello there,

ok so if i understand this problem correctly you have a Monitor connected to a DVR for a CCTV System, when cycling through the inputs on the Monitor you find the correct input for the CCTV system but the monitor only stays on this input for a few seconds .

sounds like the input is going out or the Monitor is programed to stay on a single Input, I would try both move the CCTV System to another Input on the Monitor and if that fails see if the Monitor has any Pr-Set settings then you can Default .

if you need any Help with the Default let me know and i hope this information was helpful don't forget to Rate.

I have a brand new computer(no operating system) and I can't get anything to be displayed on the monitor. I can't install the Monitor drivers without the operating system(can I?), and I can't install the...

Every monitor I have seen in the last decade would put a notice on the screen if the input cable is detached. It should say something like "Monitor is working-check cable" or "No input."
Regardless of operating system you wish to install, any of them will choose a basic VGA resolution or at least text, to display the first messages, and if the monitor is working, you should also be able to see the initial text messages from the BIOS.
If you are seeing nothing under any of those mentioned conditions, you may just have a 'DOA' monitor; it happens.
