Question about Audio Players & Recorders
i have this sonicview model, was working great but one problem i have,it loads up the latest bin files successfully and reboots by itself, but after rebooting attched with tv, its flashes once, the tv screen goes blank, when i press the front on/off button on reciever, it brings up the screen saying "please wait for the update" and the picture does not come, i have checked everything, switch is okay, downloads of factory bin and latest files all fine, when i select FTA it shows some of the channels but when selected as default FTA/CAS, it says" channels scrambled, the technician says it may be problem due to files these days but my neighbour's systems work fine, any ideas...what could be wrong please. thanks, i am not sure if its the hardware problem..

SOURCE: System constantly re-booting
While this post is very late to answer this question, here is where I found a solution with the DVD still inside. When I used this solution, the whole system reset and worked.
"I had the exact same problem tonight. I put in a DVD and it locked my Toshiba RS-TX20 up. It simply wouldn't respond to anything but unplugging. Then it went into this infinite loop of trying to power up.
I finally got it to boot:
Hold the eject button on the unit continuously while it boots up (be patient!). It didn't open the tray until a couple minutes into the powering up process. After I took out the disc, it booted up normally at the next try.
I am guessing that there's a very small window during the booting process that the dvd drive isn't locked and you have to push the eject button in that small window to get the tray open. Since we don't know when the drive is unlocked, the best bet is to hold down the eject button continuously.
I hope this helps!"

It seems just channel stored data issue.
Please perform Auto Preset / Auto Channel / Auto Tuning (mentioned menu items) and store all channels again.
Hope problem will resolve.

The easiest way to check the battery is to change it out. If you don't have a battery to replace it with, and you do have a multi-meter, you can test the voltage coming from the battery...it should be 3v (or very close). If you need help changing the batter, just post your questions.
