Question about Lexmark JetPrinter X1185 All-In-One InkJet
Hi, please help ! I'm using a Acer 3620 Laptop, running on Windows Vista Basic. When tryiing to install a Lexmark X1180 Printer, I get the message "Windows can't open Add Printer, the local print spooler service is not running. Please restart the spooler or restart the machine" The printer has been installed when I got the machine 6 months ago without any problem with the printer CD. I encountered a problem two days ago namely, when ask to print, the printer opened but refused to print! On advice from a local dealer, I Uninstalled the Printer and when tryiing to Re-Install....the message keep on coming up! HOW DO I restart the spooler and what is the Spooler....Please can you help???
I had the same problem and like you couldn't find the solution and was verrrrrrry frustrated. Last night I loaded Vista Service Pack 1 (RC1). THE PROBLEM IS NOW FIXED. If you aren't comfortable loading a "beta" version you will need to wait until the first quarter of 2008.
