Hello! Here is the link to our remote codes, if that fails follow these additional steps for the Power Scan this should resolve it as well. http://www.dishnetwork.com/downloads/pdf/user_guides_and_manuals/Remote_Codes_Web_Page.pdf
***BEFORE STARTING THIS USE THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE LINK TO PROGRAM THE REMOTE TO 222
With the desired equipment on, press and hold the correct Mode button until
all mode button backlights illuminate (about 3 seconds), then release.
For AUX mode Power Scan ONLY: press 0 for a TV, press 1 for a VCR/DVD,
press 2 for any other device, then press *.
Press and release the Power button.
Press the Up button once a second while pointing the remote at the desired
equipment. If the code for the equipment comes up, the equipment will power off.
Press the POUND (#) button. If the code entered is valid for the remote, the
mode light flashes three times.
To verify the code works try several different functions
for that equipment.
Problem solved : incorrect connection of scat leads Solved by roof top digal aerial Digi top box and on to VCR. and then on to TV.
Scart from VCR to TV
Scart from VCR to DVD
Scart from Digi Top Box to TV.
Everything now functions correctly
Philips VCR: 720/07
Philips TV : 28PW6515/05
Philips DVD: DVP3120
Bush top box
Easiest way to connect is with a scart connector from VCR to TV, then just select AV1 from TV (this will depend on what type if TV you have). If you dont have scart, put your aerial into the rear input of VCR, take supplied flylead & connect that from rear output of VCR & connect other end into TVs aerial socket. Insert a pre-recorded tape, press play on VCR & then on TV select channel 0 & tune your TV until the play back picture appears, then store this on TV tuning settings.
!st) The antenna INPUT::RF (black wire usually from "cable TV", "Dish TV", even ANTENNA air wave reception, etc.) into INPUT of VCR\DVD, OUTPUT of VCR\DVD to TV RF input. 2nd) If you have INPUT\OUTPUT to what are called " RCA " jacks on your TV, on the front or on the back, then any & all output jacks from VCR\DVD goes to INPUT\OUTPUT of the TV. In other words:: output of audio on VHS\DVD to input of audio on TV( RCA jacks). Output of video on VHS\DVD to input of video (RCA jacks)
Hope this helps
If you have Dish Network and I suspect if you have Direct TV or a cable providers, you can use your remote for that service provider to find your VCR code. For the Dish you can look in the user's guide on pages 9 and 19 to see how to do a "Device Code Scan" and "Check Device Code". To Scan: #1: Turn on the device you wish to scan for a code, #2 Press and hold down the button on your Dish remote for that device until all the buttons light up and the specific device button is flashing, #3 Press the blank power button, #4 press the up or down button until until your VCR tuns off, #5 Press the POUND ( # ) key to store the code number and #6 Press the blank power key to turn the device back on. To Check the Device Code: #1 Press and hold down the device key until all buttons light up and the device button is flashing, next press the POUND ( # ) key TWICE ! The Mode button will flash to code number with a pause between each number, i.e. 5 flashes, pause 3 flaskes, pause one quick flash is 530. Write down this number and you are rady to go !
