My magellan position froze in Colorado and stays frozen.

Try a hard reset. start the gps and using a paper clip insert it in the little pin hole on the side of your 4040 and take the gps outside in full view of the open sky and let it aquire the satellites, it may take up to 30 minutes it lock on to the satellites. if that fails, follow the link below to update the unit to the latest firmware for the 4040 you must register it on the magellan site before they will let you download anything.
