Captain 7000 Hi: I have a new Captain 7000 Premium receiver for the dishnetwork  satellite TV. I have a laptop and cables to connect the computer to the receiver.  My difficulty is that I don't know about downloading a new file and loading it on the Captain 7000. Please help. Thanks. My e-mail:

Re: Captain 7000

When your loader is open click on Serial Set, change to either one of the four "COM" I didn't realize that all have different "com" settings, I have to be on com 2, to download. I'm not sure if you are aware, but the receiver has to be unplugged then download the file and re-plug in your receiver. A download box should appear, then a large warning sign, then another message will appear that the download is ok, wait about 3-4 minutes before clicking ok.
I hope this help, good luck.

Re: Captain 7000

Load Captain loader version 1.24 or 1.25 then when you download new file extract it to open then open loader and at the left on top click file open the extracted file turn on the captain unit and away you go it will start to download.

Hi, the receiver reads antenna not found. I know the radio itself is working as my husband plugged his Blackberry into it and played Pink Floyd. Also, the receiver is not lighting up like it used to when...

If the screen is dim, then try a new antenna. Dim screen = shorted antenna connection. If that doesn't solve it, sell it for parts on eBay, you'll get like $5-$20 depending on if it's subscribed.

Clarion Marine Problem w Sirius CeNet Unit

When a CD changer or Sirius satellite receiver is added to a system, the source unit’s main wiring harness must be disconnected before the changer and/or satellite receiver’s CeNET cable is connected to the source unit. Otherwise, the source unit will not “recognize” that a CD changer or Sirius satellite receiver has been added.

Sirius sv3tk1 satellite radeo receiver circitbord schematics ,it dosn't work

I'm afraid, schematics/ service manual is not available for this unit nor spare parts would be available to get it repaired, however, new unit is available for $75 in so I would recommend to go for new unit instead of fixing this defective one.

Sirius question

Yes it should be very easy with use of the ear phone jack - depending on the model of course but generally all you need is an ac/dc power supply, the antenna connection, and for connection to receiver you can connect via FM or hard wire.
FM: as in your car pick an FM station frequency that is clear (no station on it) lets say 88.1 then set your home receiver on 88.1 and there you have it.
DIRECT: purchase a stereo 3.5mm headphone cable with two RCA male plugs at the other end. A faily common cable found in dollar stores or for five times the price at Walmart/Radio Shack etc.. Plug the 3.5mm plug into the 'headpone' jack of the satellite radio and the RCA plugs into the rear of your home receiver - usually a 'aux/line in plug" or "tape in" plug then turn the knob on the receiver to "aux or tape" selector. Bingo you should hear satellite radio all over the house....if the volume is UP! Take care Frank

Extending the power cable

Provided that your soldering skills are sufficient, you should be ok. Just be sure to observe the polarity (don't switch the wires around) and use an adequate sized wire.

The Eurovox should be connected to your TV with the Virgin box tucked away in a cupboard somewhere!
A Eurovox is a cable receiver used instead of a Virgin or NTL box, usually to obtain access to unsubscribed channels.
What are you trying to do, perhaps I can assist with more information.
Good luck.

No XM Audio, no fault indication

Buss cable is plugged into the wrong connector on the GEX-P920XM. The installation manual is not clearly written, the figure in the manual is correct.
