Why won't my TV turn back on even manually??

total dead usually means the fuse---unplug the set for safety and remove back cover---follow power cord just inside and you will find the fuse in a snap in holder--check to see if bad.............if good let me know and I will try to assist you.

My 60 inch phillips tv, I turned it off the other night and now all i get when i turn it on is the power button flashing green. 6 quick flashes and then 1. I need my tv, plz help

Try a new Web search for your brand. Try looking for a Diagnostic trouble code of 6-1 and see if you can pull up parts of a Service manual using that search routine. Try Phillips trouble codes, Phillips Diagnostic Codes, or your model# in the search.

It sounds like it went into a default Diagnostic mode. If you have a Remote with extra functions it may get you into the Diagnostic menu.

Phillips 9p5034

I never had this problem on this particular unit.....But it is in the large signal board, the one with the flyback, that is troubled. A bad cap [look for high voltage [160v or 250v with 1 to 4.7MF] Check for loose grounds around heatsinks or power resistors or a leaky horizontal transistor or regulator. These are good places to start. And don't over look diodes! These are my ideas!!!!

Won't switch on

yes it could be a fuse but moust of the time
the fuse is blowing because power suger/or bad flyback/hozoutput/or power supply whent bad. unplug the tv .take off the back and look for the fuse you see the power cord it by the powercord if the fuse is black it a hard blow.
if you can see thur it .it a sofe blow you can try to chang it.6.1amp fuse125v or it could be 250v fuse6.1amp and if the fuse blow agon you have a short powersupply

TV will not turn on

Good Morning Chris,
OK, first of all lets unplug the TV and wait 15 minutes for the High Voltage to discharge.
Remove the back and follow the power cord to the power supply. Somewhere around there you should find a fuse. (there may be more than one) get a bright light to look inside and try to find as many fuses as you can. Remove each fuse one at a time and check them with an ohm meter.
If you don't get a good solid reading on any of them replace the fuse or fuses with the exact same rating. Even if you get a reading and the display is jumping around and will not stablize, replace the fuse. Usually a good fuse taken out of the circuit will display a good steady reading on the meter.
I hope this solves your problem.
Have a great day!

TV powers off 1 second after turning on

If you know what your doing the first step would be to check the fuses . They are not all glass fuses , some look like resistors but do not have the color bands . Most of the time you'll see them close to the transformer in the power supply in the secondary section . Some are green or yellow . Once you find them you''ll need either the schematic to trace where they go or follow there path when you have found the bad ones to see what section they go to . Sometimes it the convergence section or your picture tubes may be leaking on the signal board (which is on the left side) or possibly a bad flyback transformer . Some power supplys had loose connections by the secondary transformer or possible caps that buldge at the top of them by the flyback transformer . They were 100uf @ 250v caps . All of this could be tested with a volt-ohm meter and set should be unplugged . If your picture tubes are leaking you'll see with a flashlight a pool a coolant on the board . Sometimes it could be as small as 50 cent coin . Look at the metal shield suurounding the tubes then look below on the board . Hopefully this is not your problem . Good luck

Reaccuring problem

The main fuse, it should 5A/250V. The one you bought is 0.5A/250V and it will burn because it can not handle the amount of current that passes through it.
The other fuse that sparks even when the TV is unplug because is the charge of a capacitor that circulates when you place the fuse.
Just curious why you had to change the fuses?

PT-40LC12 fuse problem

I went here for a tech manual for the Panasonic tv.
then ordered
Manufacturer: Panasonic
Part Description: FUSE
Part Number: LSJA0411-1
it was mounted to the case that holds the lamp. had to remove the back panel, etc. Also think I had to splice in the fuse or something. was a while ago.

mine is broken again. this is getting old between lamps and repairs.
