When in "modified fill and dump", the LX18C will retain the previous cycle's rinse water to reuse as the next cycle's wash water. However, it doesn't keep the water hot as there is no sump heater in the LX18 series. If the water is below a certain temperature (probably 120 deg.) when the "WASH" button is pressed, it will drain and refill. The only time I've ever seen this really work good is if you run two cycles back-to-back, otherwise the typically 120 incoming water has cooled well below 120 degrees. I've been servicing these machines for 16 years, and prefer them in true fill and dump mode. If you really want to do it, please reply and I will post the programming instructions for it.

I'm attempting to reuse a Maytag dishwasher motor for a bench grinder. Since this is a reversible motor, I'm not sure how to connect the wiring to a simple switch so that it works in one direction only. The motor has 4 wires: blue, gray, red, yellow. Not sure which to connect to the hot (black), return (white) and ground (bare) wires from the romex and can't find a wiring diagram online for this dishwasher. Any ideas? Thanks.
