my swan steam genarator iron is heating up but not bringin water through

Hi Im having the same problem but mine is 6mths old..I think its the cartridge that needs replacing as everything else works but the steam..Gonna order one today if that doesnt work I shall return it..They reckon to change it every 3/6/12 mths according to being in hard/medium/soft water area.I took the cartridge out one day and let it dry out it worked for 2 days then packed in on me again.

the temperature is not set correctly for the fabric.

I had same issue , now , once you turn the unit on , you should see displayed 3 steam jets and the flashing standby , turn the dial on the iron to max ,press the steam button on the machine to max steam , leave for a minute or so , now press the steam button on the iron , does it make a noise ? if it does , slightly raise the whole front end of the unit ( easier if you have the iron on the worktop and not on the unit !) for a minute then try and press the steam button on the iron again . I think there is a bit of an issue about the conection between the water tank and the filter . This solved my issues and i do hope it will help you .

you have probably solved this by now but
I just got the same model new
switch on instructions as follows
press and HOLD the POWER button for 3 seconds to switch the unit on
once temperature has been reached, press and HOLD the steam button on top of the iron for up to 20 seconds
this will prime the steam pump and only has to be done once for each ironing session
the pump noise will stop once it has been primed with water
