The printer leaves a shadow from text/graphics repeatedly down each page. Each page has a faded "copy" of the above text repeated down the page. I have tried to use the utility cleaner many times but it does not help. The problems occurs less, the more the printer is used throughout the day. Replacing the toner does not solve the problem either. How can I stop this?

using the D-pad on your printer, scroll down the menu until you get to "maintenance"
Scroll down to "clean printhead"
The printer will now make some noises and after about 30 seconds will say complete.
Now scroll down once more to "Print test page"
load paper and press the start button
Iff the printed page looks ok...job done. If still faint, repeat the above steps once more.
I have a Canon printer. Whenever pictures or text gets a double or blurry image I open the printer solutions menu. It sounds as though there is a problem with inkjet alignment. By clicking the realignment button the printer will automatically realign the jets. I usually test the alignment by printing a page from that program. All the line segments should line up.
Seem like blocked hole(s) on the color print head...
Most likely if there is a deep clean option then do it (may need a few times to unblock a hole or never).
Also get the printer physically cleaned up if you can see dusts inside (vrtical lines on color bars).
The comment from Kasmodan2 is true it can the toner cartridge, but is most cases it is the fuser. I repair HP laserjet machines day in and day out to replace the fuser is easy.
Turn power off
Open cover at right hand side rear
Remove data cable
Open top cover remove toner cartridge and press button on right hand side and slide the right hand cover off
Open the back cover and lower the door all the way down
Remove the two silver screws
Take out the paper tray as this will be easier to remove the back cover
Pull the back cover from the bottom and should unclip be careful not to break this cover.
Once open then you will see the fuser unit unplug the connections and remove the screws then slide out the fuser unit
Refit the new fuser unit plug in all the connections and reverse the above process
Turn machine on and test if all good the machine will work fantastic if there is a constant red light repeat above and check connections if still red light then the new fuser faulty and not heating up.
