Question about Polycom Small ClassStation VSX 8000 (223022120001)

No audio or video on a VSX8000 to VSX8000 H.323 connection

When calling a VSX8000 unit from my VSX8000 (running software v.8.5.2) I connect just fine, stats look good, H.264 video, G.722.c.1 audio (the c.1 is new to me) with NO packet loss or jitter but I get a black screen and no audio. The other site receives the same from me. Is there a known issue? I could not find anything in the software release notes or on Polycom's support page.

Microphone not getting connected Changed interface

Try changing the wire. Must be the 30 foot cable not the 10 foot which is specifically the daisy chain ... The former 30 foot is the specific cable from codec to mic. If changing this fails and you tested the mic, then your unit is either suffering corrupted software or the mic hardware is damaged. David

When we have 3 connections, we don't have problem, but we arrives the 4th connection, one of the others camera become blue

is it same location or camera that turns blue

have you tried lowering the speed of call ( this will help see if it is bandwidth issue) like you dont have enough

have you tried making call by calling out only 2 sites per unit (not using one site to originate all end points)

also are all CODECs using same firmware revision

give me more details and i can help more

speed of calls, network being used, etc

How do I start a conference call on a Mitel 5303 Conference Phone? It states it only hosts up to 8-10 people.

I'm assuming you are using this on a 3300 ICP. In that case, the phone system is only able to do 8 party conference calls without an external Conference server.
You can dial the first number, press the flash button, dial the next number, dial the feature code (get from your vendor), repeat until you have all parties as part of the call.

The 5310 IP conference unit works much easier than this phone. A conference bridge such as Audio Web Conference with the appropriate licensing will allow for extended conference calls... it will also allow you to record the call for later "off-air" participation.

Could not connect to our VSX 700 polycom over ASDL

for VC over IP, both end should have a dedicated bandwidth with PUBLIC IP.
this solves most of the problems that are faced in a vpn or shared network like situation!!!!

Need User Guide

Um; just a thought but if it's software is Win98 and if your system is running XP SP2 or Vista I'd say you really do need a Guru. A simple answer like running in 98 mode under XP/Vista may not work.

As far as the manual goes, "Google" will generally get you what you want. I did and got as a starting point for your manual. many other lisings for it..

Not able to getting video from Remote far end.

Is the Indian site within the firewall? If so, I would focus on the firewall. Does the US site have a firewall? They may be blocking outbound traffic. If you are connecting but no video, it sounds like UDP traffic is still being blocked somewhere. If you can, you may want to assign public IPs on the units and test outside of the firewall.

Hope this helps..

I can't connect to my Dad

Please have your dad check his installation, does he has a fax machine or modem that is also connected to the same phone line. Have him check the connection to the Beamer unit, "line-in" has to connect and be the first device to the wall jack and "phone in" connected to the phone set he used to initiate or receive the video call. If this does not solve the problem, please email your phone number to for help.
