Question about Philips 30PW8420 TV
We have a 30" philips hdtv model 3pw8420/37. the first time we had the problem with the tv the tv just shut off by itself and a white horizontal line appeared on the tv. So we sent it to a tv repair shop. they keeped our tv for months. they had repaired the parts and soldered connections but did not tell us what exactly went wrong with our tv. got it back and the tv went out again the same as the first time. sent it back for the second time and this time they said they had replaced the pix tube. It lasted for about 16 hours woke up the next morning to watch tv and it came on and once again the same problem it just shut down. please help do we get rid of the tv or do we send it somewhere else

The tv first it had a verticle problem. now a set has a power supply problem, they have to check for a light semi conductor values, for diodes and transistors. the electrolitic capacitors after the 95-110volts ht from the power supply be checked and measured, rectifier diodes be checked for leakages. a picture is not aproblem .thanks
