Printer ignores white space at beginning of document
I have a modified Epson r230 (see www.logojet.ca)
If I print document form Publish, Word, Corel Draw, Photoshop, etc, which has white space at top of page, and image somewhere down page, the printer begins printing image around 2 inches below the top of the paper. No matter where the image is on the computer screen. For example, if I open a Word document, go down 4 inches and type a line with dashes across the page, the Preview Document shows it 4 inches down the page. But if I print it out, it prints 2 inches below the top of the paper. If I then delete that line, and move down to 9 inches down the page and make a line with the dashes, the Preview Document shows it 9 inches down the page, but when I print it out, it prints out EXACTLY the same place that the one printed that was 4 inches down the page...
No matter what I do on the document, the printer begins printing the firse character, or image--the first ink goes at the 2 inch place, then it continues as normal. It is as if it ignores any white space above where the first activity begins...
This printer printed normally up until a couple weeks ago. I didn't print anything on it for a couple weeks, and in the mean time, I did instal another printer, an Anajet fp-125 (a modified Epson Photo R1800)

In printing web pages and email please try to check also the print setting before you print the page cause word document files and web pages are not the same in there printing setting. Web pages and emails has different setting so my recommendation is that when you print email and webpages next time then please check the printer settings then modify it the same settings as you wish or as your word document's output. Thanks
Reset the waste ink counter! Assuming you have completed your modification you can reset your printers waste counter using this method (I did this and it worked on the CX6400) can't guarantee it works on all) 1. You will see big button on your printer like power on (this is on the left 2. side), black & white photocopy, color photocopy, and then the stop button (these are on the right side). 3. first turn off your printer 4. push the b/w + color + stop buttons together and hold 5. push the power on button and hold (so you'll now be holding down 4 buttons together) 6. Don't release all the buttons until you see the light indicator is blinking and then a message display on the lcd 7. release all the buttons 8. push the color button (once) 9. turn off the printer 10. turn it on again
After this one may need to reload the printer driver and locate the printer!
