Extreme Difficulties With My Canon

I'm having 3 different problems with my Canon Rebel.

My first problem

While I was photographing my friends Wedding for her after the ceremony
we went outside to smoke while outside I decided to photograph their car,at this point my camera was turned off and when I turned it on nothing showed in the pannel above its LCD screen and it wouldn't even shoot a I tried it again, the same thing. I decided to take out the battery and my CF card after I did that and put the battery back in it worked.. can you tell me whats up with that problem ?

My next problem is . 2nd proble
I was at and IWA Wrestling Tournament shooting photos for a friend of mine who wrestles . During shooting with my 1GB CF card I was looking at the photos I had taken so far , and the most portion of the photos turned up as corrupted files,I figured this was a problem with the CF card .

3rd problem
so I replaced my 1GB card with my 256MB card and as it would take on continuous. One photo would take and the next photo it shot "ERROR 02" showed ..

can you please help me ?

Re: Extreme Difficulties With My Canon

Problem #1
this is not a problem.. if you leave the camera in the ON setting for long enough.. it goes to sleep ... in order to conserve battery life.. you need to keep some of the buttons pressed for a bit for it to wake up... e.g. keep the picture taking button depressed for 5 secs.

Problem #2
If you were checking the pictures after just shooting them then its probably a CF card problem. You can also get the same error .. i.e. corrupted files from the cameras perspective.. if you use a CF card reader and try to change the pictures on the card.
You should try to connect the CF card that has those pictures to a computer it might be able to open them.. .

Otherwise try another CF card.

Canon Rebel camera wideangle lens settings?

That depends on what you're taking a picture of. The best setting for a landscape picture won't necessarily be the best setting for a group portrait. You might want to use different settings for a daytime landscape than for a sunset. That's why the camera offers different settings. The camera is a tool. You're the photographer.

When using the flash(not an external, the one built into the camera) the camera will flash busy and I have to turn it off or turn to no flash mode to keep taking pics. I have a fully charged battery. What...

You either have a overheating or a recycle(recharging) problem with the flash. If it is under warranty send it back to Canon, if not I would suggest on investing in an external flash which is MUCH better for wedding photography.

Hello, I am trying to adjust my Canon T1i so that I can take a 200 dpi photo and can you please suggest which mode is best for photographing glassware?

There must be a reason you want a 200DPI which by the way you accomplish in "post" processing.
My suggestion with a Rebel and the 18-55 is to set the file is maximum Fine and then resizing in your image software. Glassware is a vague description some people may consider "Lead Crystal" as glassware and there is a difference, however in the almost 20 years I've been photographing Glassware I've used manual mode.

Harsh shadows

to avoid harsh shadows moveaway from the bright light,or move object/people close to the backdrop that will reduce the strong shadows.

I'm having 3 different problems with my Canon Rebel XT

According to Canon, Error code 02 means that "There is a problem with the CF card. Try any of the following: Remove and re-insert the CF card. Format the CF card, use a different CF card."

Are both CF cards the same brand? Sometimes some brands have conflicts with the camera, you might try using two different brands.

It may not be the card, did you try on the third attempt to remove the battery and put it back in? There may be a problem with the contact points where the CF card plugs into the camera, or in the transfer system itself.
