Question about Mitsubishi WD-52525 52" Rear Projection HDTV

Capacitor assistance required.

My son & I have been doing lots of reading and are anxious to try to our fix, but need a little advise. Our WD-52525 has a couple bulged capacitors on its front circuit board which we would like to try replacing, but we are aprehensive about the terminology when we found 4 different capacitors at the vendor with identical specs. The old ones were labeled: "3300mf10v nichicon H0427 105C" next to "C9A38" on the board. We narrowed the search at Digi-Key.com down to 4, so we purchased a e-service manual & found their reference (more numbers) that did not help us to select the replacement. The 4 different capacitors we found on digikey.com were all the same specs except for they were under 3 different categories. One said General Purpose, one said Miniature, and two said Low Impedance. If somebody could help us out here, let us know which piece would work we would sure appreciate it.

I have been reading the description of your experiences with this model. I
purchased one from a friend for 200.00us broken and thought the capacitors fit the symptoms. I replaced them with higher temp 125 deg mil spec caps from newark electronics (newark.com). The caps in my set were not the same brand but had failed in the same way. This made me suspect A design issue rather than defective parts. I replaced the 3300mfdcaps and the 1000mfd caps . I spent A little more for parts made in america and mil spec parts but the entire bill was under 15.00us. I also ordered higher voltage 16v caps. The set does not need to come entirely apart to effect the repairs and it only took a couple of hours and the tv works great.
I will say that I am an electronics technician with many years of experience though not working on televisions. Good luck to all of you

Ok people lets not make this so difficult.

you need 3300 mfd/ 10 volt electrolytic capacitors.thes are general purpose capacitors. the 105 t C is temperature tolerance.no big deal 85 c or 105 c is fine. try google search for MCM electronics, or Pacific Coast electronics or anybody that sells electronic parts

Hi, I have this same model TV, and I the two capacitors C9A37, and C9A38 are both bulge up, so I am going to replace them. I was just wondering if anyone knows the digikey part number for these capacitors? I can't seem to find them. Thanks in advance for the help.

How to change a bulb WD 52525

the speaker grill pops off and use a philips screwdriver to remove to door slightly left of center. the lamp is held in with 3 screws, might need a flat head driver to get em moving. this tv is known for bad capacitors on the power board causing false lamp errors, and also other caps going bad too. let me know if you need more assistance. fixing all caps = 300-500 $ estimate

CAPACITOR 1000 UFD 16V 105C FOR MITSUBISHI WD-52525 52 IN. TV

no you cannot substitute a 680uf 16v 105c in place of a 1000uf
if you want to put a better capacitor in place of the old 1000uf 16v 105c , then use a 1000uf 25v or 35v 105c
the voltage rating will allow the cap to better handle the circuit
