Water will not come out to do floor work

The brushes on my (Bissell dirtlifter powerbrush proheat plus model 7901-P 03283201) turn and the vacuum works, but no water will come out from the bottom of the dirtlifter to shampoo rugs. The hand held nosel does work on stairs.

When solution trigger is pulled, the nozzle sprays for about 1 second then stops. I've cleaned the flow indicator assembly, tank and brush area. The belts are in place and appear to be okay.

So water does not come out but does for the handheld brush. I really don't see a solution posted. Machine has been used only THREE times since purchased....

Water does not come out to do carpers although brushes turn-everything else works. What is the problem? I have cleaned everything that comes apart.

    Thanks,

where are the answers to no water will come out how agrivating

  • dmagn Apr 13, 2008

My problem is the same as all others except it will not work on carpets as well as the floor. I have used the machine only several times since I purchased it in 2006. The water will not dispense and the shampoo solution seems to drain out when using! I can't find any solutions listed just the same issues. Your web page works as well as your over priced shampooer! Where can I have this looked at for repair. If it is too costly to fix I will purchase another shampooer but I assure you it WILL NOT be a Bissel. By the list of comments, your product is worthless. In addition to the problems, I don't think it ever did that great of a job on my carpets the few times it did work. MY PRODUCT IS THE BISSELL PROHEAT 7901 SERIES

    Hi,

I have a similar problem, I have taken the housing off, where the solutions are mixed but am unsure how you take the top plate off, a video would indeed be helpful

(bissell proheat 7901) Suddenly, water will not come out the bottom or the handheld hose, but cleaning soultion still comes out. I've taken it all apart...and suspect the pump is the problem...but the pump still rotates the attached belt...is this possible if the pump itself is not working? Is there a test to see if the pump is bad?

HI, I have a very similar Bissell. My problem was that after unscrewing the top plate and looking at the pipes the pipes feeding the front sprays were full of gunge blocking the sprayheads. I managed to flush it through by carefully removing the T connector that feeds the front 2 pipes, placing it back so it stuck out of one of the holes and replacing the water tank and turning on while holding it over a bucket. Black and white bits came out but it did flush through. I am thinking of doing a youtube video - let me know if this will help you!

Water won't come out

Hi there SmartAlec from nelsonvacuums.com.au here. I think that the likely solution for the problem is that the water tank is slightly warped and so will not seal properly. Normally this is caused by using hot water in the tank. It should still be covered under warranty though just take it back to the dealer and get them to check it.

Dirtlifter Powerbrush does not turn

Make the machine safe from the power source first
When you remove the belt access door you are looking at the pump belt,
To gain access to the brush belt you must turn the machine over and remove the brush at the bottom of the machine.
there are two screw in the red retainers at each side of the brush, remove the screws and the retainers and the pivot arms ,you should see the brush belt and the pump
