It depends on what is wrong with the Assembly, You will more than likely have to buy a New/used Lens Assembly.

I have a H50 Sony, there is an internal fungs on the more external lens, is there any thing to do to clean it? I was informed that is needed to buy a complete new kit of lens. Is it correct? tks in...

Hi,
Yes, its correct, you need to replace lens assembly because lens assembly can not be repaired easily and satisfactory, labor of qualified tech to get repair old lens assembly would cost you similar to new lens price as well so it would be good to buy replacement lens assembly to solve DSC-H50 camera issue.
Thanks.

LENS ERROR RESTART CAMERA

The lens error is usually caused by mechanical faults concerning lens assembly. This happens because there is dirt inside the lens (sand dust), or one part in the lens assembly is bad or went out of place.
Because of this he lens cannot extend or retract fully, the error is detected and lens error is returned.

Sometimes this can be fixed playing with the lens during extraction or retraction to help the lens asset getting back to normal.
If if does not extend tapping gently the back of the camera, and if it does not retract helping lens back in while turning camera respectively on and off.

More often the camera lens must be disassembled and re-assembled by a technician to fix the problem.

The little two part lens cover does not close when I turn the camera off. The lens does retract though. Is there some first aid I can preform to fix this.

You can try spraying some compressed air in the front of the lens assembly, to try to free up the closing mech, but other than that, the camera has to be disassembled from the rear, all the way into the lens assembly to try to fix this problem, and it's an expensive fix. You might try taking it by a camera repair shop, and see if they have a trick up their sleeves, but I haven't heard of one.
If you do elect to have it repaired, get an estimate first, since the cost might just justify buying a new one on sale.
Good luck, hope this helps, and thanks for using FixYa.

My lens wont go all the way in and i have a blurry screen.

It is problem with lens mechanism that is not repairable thing. Requires lens assembly replacement that would cost you much. DSC-S700 is low cost camera so better to buy another though I can provide you lens assembly part number and part shop to buy it.
If you are interested to repair it by yourself and knows how to do the job just let me know to provide you lens assembly part number info.

Len will not retract

Bad Lens assembly, cost more to fix than replace.
Check the Olympus store for clearance items,
Pricewatch is a good one also.
Never buy a used one online, new is ok, because dropping them is the #1 reason for the lens assembly failure.
I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpfull.
Best regards, Paul
