Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3m Cellular Phone

1 Answer

1 touch dialing

I am trying to set up my RAZR V3 so that I can dial frequent #'s by using the 1 touch dialing feature.

Voice mail appears to be preset for number 1. Other numbers are empty, but when I try to program following the directions in the manual it doesn't work. I must say that I find the directions on how to set these 1-touch #'s to be incomplete.

How to activate voice dial phone feature

Touchscreen phones simplify the wireless world, especially when combined with voice activation. Although making calls using voice commands was an option before touchscreens became available, the method used to set up this feature is different than it is for non-touchscreen units. It can take time to master the set of procedures that will get the feature working.
Step 1
Create a voice tag. Touch "Contacts" on the today screen. This opens the list of contacts on your phone. From here, do one of three things: you can hold your finger on the desired contact and then tap the "Add Voice Tag," you can select the desired contact, tap on "Menu" and then "Add Voice Tag," or you can tap the desired contact to open their personal screen and then hit "Menu" followed by "Add Voice Tag."
Step 2
Record the voice tag on your phone. Touch the phone number to which you wish to add a voice tag then touch the "Record" button. Record your voice tag for that contact. An icon will be displayed to the right of the number when the voice tag is complete. You can listen to your voice tag by touching the "Play" button on the screen or you can delete it to record a new one.
Step 3
Make a voice tag for a program. Tap the "Start" button on the phone. Go to "Settings" and then the "Personal" tab followed by "Voice Speed Dial." Choose the program for the voice tag and record the voice tag in the same manner as you did for the contact. To open the program with the voice tag, tap "Start," "Programs" and then "Voice Speed Dial."
Step 4
Launch a program or make a call. Make a call by tapping "Start" followed by "Programs" and then "Voice Speed Dial." You will hear a beep. Say the voice tag you recorded for the person you wish to call. You can open a program via the same procedure (by speaking the voice tag created for the program).
Step 5
Check the voice tags you created. Tap on "Start," "Settings," "Personal" tab and then "Voice Speed Dial." A voice tag tab appears and displays a list of your voice tags.

How do i operate speed dial on razr

The user manual for the Moto Razr V3 is at: "V3 GSM Motomanual" Motorola
Pages 68-69 of the manual (which correspond to pages 70-71 of the PDF file) state: "Calling With 1-Touch Dial To call phonebook entries 1 through 9, press and hold the single-digit speed dial number for one second. You can set 1-touch dial to call the entries in your phone memory phonebook or the SIM card phonebook: Find the Feature M> Settings > Initial Setup > 1-Touch Dial Press To 1 S scroll to the location you want 2 SELECT (+) select the location" Page 8 (page 10 of the PDF file) indicates that the symbols (represented by "M>", "S", and "SELECT (+)") mean the menu key, 4-way navigation key, and SELECT. Page 51 (pages 53 of the PDF file) explains how to store phone numbers in the phonebook -- which you can then call with 1-touch dial.

Vu phone, speed dial does not work, goes to verizon wireless message which says call cannot be completed as dialed. Checked numbers they are OK, also happens which #1 for speed dial of *86 which...

I had the same problem and found that the speed dial feature in "settings" is not turned on by default even though voice mail number is pre-programed into the speed speed list. Go to "Settings & Tools/Call Settings/One Touch Dial" and turn the option on.

I can't get to my voice mail.

from your device, try to dial YOUR OWN phone number. EX if your phone number was 123-456-7890, you would dial that number and hit the green send button to initiate call. this should take you directly into your voicemail as long as you are using the phone that your account is connected to. I hope i was able to assist you today.

You need to Add Voice to Contact first

for that find out the key which is works for Voice Commands.

By default if you hold Volume Up key or 1 or * keys any of these keys may work for Voice Commands.

Sort out then you will get an option enter voice command ..

let me know the result..
