I find it hard to believe some of these answers. If the platter is wobbling, if you remove the platter, you'll find the spindle the platter rotates on. That will probably be loose. At the bottom of the spindle bearing, you will find a nut. Tighten that, and you should be in business. If you have further questions please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. A turntable use a magnetic cartridge and its output is only 5 to 10 millivolts.A moving coil cartridge is even lower,.2 to .5 millivolts(thats 1/2000 of a volt)in contrast, a mp3 puts out a 300 to 900 mv signal..so does a CD player. Your turntable does not have enough signal. You need to get an amplifier that has a phono input. Years ago, radio shack used to sell phono preamps that could plug into a tape or cd input. The other option is to buy a used mixer that has a phono input. The mixer output can drive the cd input easily,as the max output from a mixer is 1.5 volts to 2 volts.
You just need to type Numark Hdx in your search engine or on numark's website, and they have the download for the firmware update. Download and burn to disk. Turn on your deck holding the eject button until it ask for you to insert the disk you burned. Go thru the prompts and let it install firmware *NOTE DO NOT TURN OFF DECK* or you will ruin it.
More than likely the button switches are damaged and need to be replaced. The CDMix1 is a very bad unit, chock full of issues. We wont even bother working on these anymore. This includes the CDMix 2 and CDMIX 3.
You might have to contact Numark directly for repair assistance on this one - www.numark.com
Unfortunately, we still have not received our batch of service manuals from Numark for all of their new gear. So, I cannot instruct you on the master reset. However, if you contact Numark directly, they will be able to walk you through any issues you might be having with the unit, to safely eject the CD - 401.658.3131 - ask for the Tech/Service Dept
