Error codes 3 and 10

need to test with multimeter, door code error could be a faulty door switch which would hinder machine from operating. I suggest checking the glo bar and ceramic igniter for the going off problem, in electric dryers maybe in gas as well bad motor windings can cause it to go off and on?

Samsung DV218 AEW works fine in time dry but not in normal dry. Jumps from 50 min to 1 and shuts off.

Sounds like you have a bad controller./timer. It i fairly easy to replace if you want to. I would turn timer to max time and know that it will stop at 50 minutes.

The dryer works fine in TimeDry mode, but in Intellidry mode it dries very slowly. The "Moisture Moniture" indicator lights start and stay at "Less Dry". I have replaced the moisture...

you could have bad gas coils.if the timer doesn't advance in auto dry most likely you're having heat problems, when the dryer heats and then the heat shuts off then the timer will advance, when the heat comes back on the timer stops,it does this until the clothes are dry.gas coils when starting to fail will work normally until they get hot and then no heat until the coils cool down then they will work again,on time dry the timer just keeps counting down until the time runs out no matter what's happening to the dryer.i've seen the coils fail after the first 10 minutes and other times for 20 to 30 minutes but usually if the load is big and in time dry the clothes will feel warm and you'll need to dry them a second time to get them fully dry, also while you're in ther you should clean out the dryer at least once a year, clean out the duct that the lint filter slides into, vacuum out the cabinet where the motor is and blow out the vent line,if it's a long run i use a leaf blower to blow out the line, remove it from the back of the dryer, stick the leaf blower into the vent line and blow it out,i've blown out birds nest out of some lines, your clothes will dry on time, you won't go through so many parts and you won't have to worry about a dryer fire, the gas coils are on top of the gas valve, remove the two phillips screws, lift off the cover and change out the time you use the dryer keep an eye on it,after it runs for 20 minutws start checking it,you'll hear a click, then another click and the flame will lite, look into the gas tube and if the flame isn't liting then you have bad gas coils.

Periodically, the display will change to the wrinkle release mode from sensor dry mode (all by itself), and the timer will show 18 minutes remaining. If I switch it back to sensor dry mode, the display...

Hello & Welcome to FixYa
If you have already tried cleaning the vent then the problem is with the Thermal fuse. When the thermal fuse goes bad it cannot be reset and replacing it is recommended repair. It is located on the blower wheel housing inside the rear panel to the exhaust duct. You can test it for continuity before replacing, if that is fine the problem is either the door switch or the control board. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

there isn't a timer on this machine, you have a control board,if the time isn't counting down correctly sounds like you have a bad control board that's inside the console

This link will offer more assistance if the above 2 items check good.

Maytag Neptune gas dryer sense dry time at 99, little or no heat

If this is a gas dryer, I'd suggest an inspection by the gas company or qualified technician. If the jets aren't firing correctly, you are wasting gas and possibly creating a hazard.

Maytag Bravos Dryer (1 mo. old) timer does not change from start

Maytag Bravos 400 Series Dryer purchased August 2009 - November 2009 required repair as I also experience the timer readjusting itself to excessive extended drying time when clothing was bone dry and hot. Sometimes extended to 1 hour 40 minutes! Serviceman stated problem was the Sensors in the dryer. Part number 8577274 Thermister and "Old Ohmed out open" whatever that means as listed on my repair ticket. Have not had that particular problem since. Make sure your dryer vents from dryer to outside are clean and clear of lint. Will help immensely. I have many other issues with this dryer it has been down FOUR times in 9 months. Fighting with Maytag to replace this lemon!
