I have been dealing with this for over a year and Last two weeks, I finally took it in geek squad in Best buy and I was told that it was a mere driver issue. I told them that I plugged in the laptop to another monitor and the display was showing but the screen on the laptop was not. So I downloaded the drivers from nvidia is the manufacturer of the card 7800gtx and also tried to update the driver from device manager as well. I got home last night and left the pc on all night and to my dissapointment, the lcd flat panel had gone black again. I googled the problem and I'm getting results that it could be a faulty backlight or inverter. Really I'm just exhausted with this laptop it was over a 3K purchase in 11/05 and I already shipped this pc once to California with Sager notebook while it was under the 1 year warranty when the harddrive became faulty on me. Now this. For the amount of money I spent on this 'supposedly' gamer pc it's beginning to seem I bought a lemon...

do you have an external mouse---mine would go to sleep if the mouse wasn't move enough--changed a setting and fixed it--problem was that when it went to sleep--nothing worked.
