There could be 2 reasons, 1. Hardware issue 2. Software drivers:
Fixing 1: Hardware
Make sure the DVD is fixed properly in your tower ( I am not sure whether you are using a tower or lappi)
The direct solution is to put a pin i the small hole present on your DVD player. That should open the DVD door.
To fix the software part.
>> Try to update the drivers depending on the operating system you are using.
>> Download the latest drivers to check if it fix the issue.
>> Open the My computer >> Right click on the CD/DVD drive and select Eject, this will normally open the door.
Else, try to uninstall the drivers from Device Manager and then restart the PC once, this will reinstall the drivers once again by its own if your Windows is up to date.
Someone is going to have to open the unit to see what is happening--either a disc is jammed inside or a mechanism problem.
Sometimes with unit apart you may be able to gently probe and free the jammed area--possible also something that does not belong there got inside--look closely.
Combo units have this essential flaw--if one half fails you are usually done especially if the DVD side fails.
If Door does not open either a disc is jammed inside the mechanism or the mechanism is out of alignment or damaged.
Good argument against buying these units--DVD individual parts are rarely sold--only (if available) would be the entire DVD unit itself--not cost effective to repair.
DVD players are now real cheap (see some for as little as $20) so if not a simple jammed disc or something like that buy a DVD player.
I'm sorry that the DVD player is displaying green light and nothing is displaying input button. Please follow the below general tips and check if that helps.
Please make sure that the connections are secure and proper.
Try inserting another disc and check the operation.
Unplug the DVD player from wall outlet and connect it back after 1 minute to perform a power reset and check the operation.
Check whether you're able to see the DVD player logo on the TV screen.
If not, keep pressing the INPUT button until it makes any changes on the TV screen for a minute.
I hope the information helpful. If the issue persists, please get back to me with more details about the issue so that I can more look in to this. Please include the following information in your reply.
When did the issue started occurring?
Have you made any changes since it's last normal working?
What is the connection between the TV and the DVD player? Also inform if you're using a standalone DVD player.
Provide me the model # of the DVD player and TV/display device.
Your lovely Bose has problem with its mechanism that cause load / unload totally out of order. If you hear some noise while you turn on the bose or when you hit some buttons, it is telling us the motor still work. Now we need to check the broken gears ( or other mechanism linkage). If you able assemble this Bose, go ahead to find and fix it mehanism ( you may need some parts replacement.
Note : Be carefully with its laser lens while power on ( avoid direct contact to your eyes).
There is a small belt under the loading tray which would have gone slack ( loose ) and the sound you hear is it slipping on the motor pulley. If you are confident you can remove the mechanism and turn it upside down and access this belt. Dismantle only if you can get the spare belt or your efforts will be in vain.
