Re: bosch classixx condenser drier

The problem is with the lower water tank float switch, it is stuck. Take off the right hand side panel (as you are facing the machine) at the bottom you will see a spring mechanism for the belt tension. Beside this there are 2 electrical connectors. Take them off and spray with wd40 or similar. Whilst off give the plastic box they fit 2 a light tap with a hammer to free the float switch. Reconnect and try. If this fails you can over-ride by leaving the left hand of the two plugs off. This will get your machine working but you will not have an indication as to when the water container needs emptying so you will need to remember.

Re: bosch classixx condenser drier

I had the same problem, after running for 1-2 minutes the empty container light would come on and the dryer would not heat. Listening carefully I could hear a gurgling noise. After trying Mr Speedy's suggestion I unclipped and checked the end of the drain hose (there is a white right angled connector that directs the water into the tank - it can be seen in the back left of the machine just under the top cover). I pulled the connector off the hose and it was blocked by a small piece of plastic and a collection of fluff that had built up behind it. After removing the blockage and replacing everything the machine works perfectly! Huzzah! Thanks Mr Speedy for your suggestion, it allowed me to fix my problem.

ps you'll need a star-tipped screwdriver to remove the screws securing the top and side panels

Empty water light, empty condenser

I experienced the problem with a hotpoint TCYM 750, with the red empty water light failing to switch off. After removing the filter and cleaning it, cleaning the condenser and drying anywhere I had access to the machine still didn't heat and the light remained on. Reading the post about the machine having 3 reservoirs it struck me that one of the reservoirs may be hard to access. So I unplugged the machine and tipped it onto its front. The reservoir drained, I pushed the machine back upright and cleared up some water around the condenser. The drier now works properly and the empty water light is off - job done!

Bosch Condenser Dryer Classixx

I found this on, I am going to try it this weekend and I will post an update.

"Ok if you remove the left hand side panel then located at the back is the drain pump
remove the hose on it which goes up to the bottle and blow up it to make sure its clear.
If thats fine then remove the pump and clear any fluff thats in there and make sure the impeller is ok and turning fine.
Then refit and try again hopefully this should sort it out.
let me know if you need anymore info."

Bosch tumble dryer

I've sorted mine this morning. First, disconnect from the mains - VERY important! Pull out the metal condenser unit at the bottom, and behind it, there's a small hatch in the bottom to the reservoir. This can get gunked up with water, and is very difficult to clean - HOWEVER - I've found a really easy way of cleaning it. I've got a VAX carpet washer with a hose attachment, and I simply sucked all the water out using that. If you don't own a carpet cleaner maybe borrow one. I did this this morning, and my tumble-dryer's still running happily after an hour! It is possible to clean it out without vacuum, but it takes a LOT longer, and the vacuum of the cleaner pulls out gunk that is hard to access. Another place where gunk collects is behind that hatch right at the back - there's a tube up to the right. I pulled out quite a long chunk of lint. However, that wasn't the solution on it's own, I still had to clean out the reservoir as above.

Condenser tumble dryer water problem

Took advice...isolated from electricity supply...removed left side panel (side with condenser tank), to access the pump. Cleaned it all out (masses of water and grey lint!) and put it all back together again. Bit fiddly getting the panel back screws left over...result!

All working great now.

Simpler solution maybe...There is a 'trap door' that can be removed, which gives access to the area where the water and lint accumulate.

1) Isolate from electricity supply.
2) Take out the condenser unit at the bottom LHS front of the machine (routine maintenance).
3) Underneath of where the condenser unit usually the back...reach in and open the 'trap door'. This needs a flat head screwdriver and you must release the two plastic clips holding the trap door.
4) You can now access the area where the water and lint accumulate...which makes the 'float' give a false container full fault.
5) Clean out this water and gunk regularly (once a month)!

Hoping this will avoid taking the side panel off again...
