I recommend updating the drivers. You can do this for free on manufacture's website. It would be under download or support tab. The other thing you can try is to update the program you are using to copy and view the pics and/or videos. Drivers are most important because it allows your computer to sync and communicate with the camera. Quicktimeplayer is a fantastic player for pics and video and automatically plays your camera's video files.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Windows Photo Gallery or Picasa.
I had the same issue. Try checking in Control panel > Admin Tools > Disc Management. If it shows up in there, then it's recognised by the PC, and there must be a drive assignment conflict. Change the assigned drive letter to something else.
If you're Operating System is not listed on the CD that came in the package. You could freely download the software that is compatible with all Windows OS like Vista.
You could just copy and paste that link to your web browser.
Or try the steps below for you to proceed there
- Go to www.samsungcamera.com - Mouse over on Support - Click on Download Centre - On the leftmost part of the page, click on UTILITY - Select on SOFTWARE tab - Click on Digimax Master V 1.1
* If it still does not help, call the Manufacturer.
