Browsing internet will not let me brows,it saids cannot find server or the page cannot be displayed. my mail is on aol want let me check it.

I have determined that the problem is actually, which seems to be a login server at yahoo. I say this because you can actually browse the Yahoo website, and go to without any problems. However, trying to connect to or returns the above error.

How do i adjust my browser so i can get to yahoo web site it is saying that the page cannot be displayed,and the server can not be found

by the way, are you able to browse any other sites in the internet? I ask because the error message that you reported is simply saying that you don't a an active internet connection or maybe you are working offline.

To work online, Open your browser, click the FILE menu and click the command at the bottom (if it has a check mark in it) WORK OFFLINE

Cannot post anything, can read new post can access through AOL to read mail but cannot read inbox through Facebook page. Can type it in but, it does not post. Can access through another computer and...

Check the time and date on the computer and also try another browser . If other browser is working just try resetting the internet explorer.

Outgoing and incoming server settings

Every E-mail service has different setting. You need to contact or check the web site of that company that provides the E-mail. If it's Comcast, check their page. If it's a smaller company, check their web site for the settings. There are no standard settings.

That's Problem known as internet virus.
u do one thing format ur computer.
And install one program that's software name is adware
after that u do not have a sing le proble related to server & ataachments .

I can't send or recive e-mail using 2003 outlook, Trying to set it up so I can access my aol account but I am also using a local service to get the internet. I am getting error codes 0x80040900 and...

did you try to setup the aol account properly...
these are instructions as per microsoft:

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. On the Tools menu, click E-mail Accounts.
  3. Click Add a new e-mail account, and then click Next.
  4. Click IMAP, and then click Next.
  5. In the appropriate boxes, type the following information:
    • Your Name Type your name as you want it to appear to other people.
    • E-mail Address Type your full AOL e-mail address that includes your screen name followed by
    • User Name Type your AOL screen name.
    • Password Type your AOL password.
    • Incoming mail server (IMAP) Type
    • Outgoing mail server (SMTP) Type
  6. Click More Settings.
  7. Click the Outgoing Server tab.
  8. Select the My outgoing server requires authentication check box.
  9. Click Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
  10. Click the Advanced tab, and in the Outgoing mail (SMTP) box, change the number to 587.
  11. Click OK.
  12. Click Next.
  13. Click Finish.
