SDHC card isnt being reconized by my computer

When plugging the SDHC card into my computer nothing pops up. There is no new driver being installed either. If i go into my computer there is no drive for the SDHC card. The computer acts like i never put it in. I also tested my older SD card whichhas always worked and continues to work. Its just the SDHC card that will not be reconized. Im running windows vista and im willing to buy a product, or install softwear to fix the problem. THank you

Sigma 4in1 card reader not working

Try a different / all other USB ports on the computer, and if possible, a different computer if no USB port on your computer works with it. If it still doesn't see the drive, the drive is probably not working. If it does see the device, but is asking for drivers, provide a disk with drivers that came with the reader - or check the Sigma web site for drivers that work with you OS (Windows, Mac, etc.), download and install / extract.

If it sees the device, but doesn't see the memory card, the reader may not recognize the newer, larger capacity memory cards. SD cards are smaller than 4GB in capacity, and SDHC cards are 4GB and larger. Make sure that if you're trying to read an SDHC card that the reader SPECIFICALLY says it works with SDHC cards. Most SD readers can NOT be upgraded with firmware to be able to read SDHC cards - a new SDHC reader is required.

Good luck!

I cant seem to access MY SD Memory Card from my New Camera through the SD Card slot on the Front panel of My Aspire M1201 - The Green LED is on but no pop up and i cant find the correct the section to...

Newer cameras may have SDHC cards - these have a high capacity. Older computers can't read the newer SDHC cards - they can only read the old SD Cards. The SD card and SDHC cards look exactly the same. The SDHC card will probably say "SDHC" on it somewhere. Fortunately you can buy a USB SDHC card reader for a computer for around £2 on amazon. I would buy one of those. You could search the internet for "usb sdhc card reader".

This camera was manufactured before the SDHC protocol was developed for SD cards. A 'standard' SD card protocol is 2GB maximum, and that is what the camera is compatible with. I'm pretty sure the cards you are trying to use say SDHC on them, right?

Are you using software that came with the reader? Maybe that is the problem. Are the correct drivers installed? Check the device manager and make sure it does not show a problem device. Are you using my computer and clicking on the removable device? Does the card work ok in other computers or devices? Is your computer only USB 1.0 and the card reader requres USB 2.0? Are the USB 2.0 drivers properly installed on your computer? Try removing the software and drivers, re-boot, and just install the drivers and not the software.

Not reconizing photo card

Try uninstalling the device and searching for new hardware. If that doesn't work try installing the latest drivers/firmware.

Dosen't reconize 8 GB SDHC memory card

Older model printers won't recognize high-density memory cards.

2 gb is probably the largest to be used in your printer.
