D101 Motherboard sound and speed problem

I am having D101GGc 2.66 GHz motherboard, P4 processor, 512 MB DDR1 RAM in my system. The problem with my system is it takes too much time to start. Takes much longer time for any application to open or modify. Secondly it is not getting shut from the front button on the cabinet. It continuously restarts even after shutting down.I checked HDD drives(2 in number) on other PC. It worked well.
Third problem is the sound is very blurred and elongated. Means it extends for long time and is not clear.Plz help. Thanks

Ddr 2 ram connecting to intel d101 motherboard

Well first of all, there is no "adapter".  You have to use the specified RAM that you motherboard supports.  Secondly, even if there was an adapter so to speak, it would not be beneficial.  The only difference performance wise between DDR and DDR2 is speed.  So if your motherboard supports DDR, and you had an "adapter", your motherboard would only read the DDR2 at DDR speed.  In my opinion, DDR2 is not really worth the upgrade to another motherboard just for DDR2.  If you want the biggest bang for your buck, upgrade the CPU, or put more memory in the motherboard you already have.  Hope this helps, and please don't forget to rate.  Thanks.

Vista compatiable

intel doesnt list any vista drivers for that motherboard on there site so you might run into problems with the intergraded devices such as the ethernet, audio, chipset, & any intergraded video

You might be able to use the xp drivers but if theres problems it wouldnt be supported by intel
