Remove the dispenser cover by gently prying starting at the bottom going round and round a little at a time to prevent from breaking it. When it's off the screws will be exposed to access the other components.

The part the hinge fits into may be broken or the hinge it's self.

Need to replace dispenser paddle. How do I remove these parts to get it out. Kenmore Model #10651122211

To remove the dispenser paddle from your Kenmore Model #10651122211 refrigerator, you will need to follow these steps:
  1. First, locate the dispenser paddle on the inside of your refrigerator door, near the ice and water dispenser.
  2. Use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry off the cover that is covering the paddle assembly. You may need to apply a little bit of force to remove the cover.
  3. Once the cover has been removed, you will be able to see the dispenser paddle assembly.
  4. Use a pair of pliers to gently remove the dispenser paddle from the assembly. You may need to apply a little bit of force to remove it.
  5. Once the dispenser paddle has been removed, you can install the new paddle by reversing the steps. Make sure that the new paddle is securely in place before replacing the cover.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

My Samsung Model: RF4287HARS refrigerator stopped DISPENSING ice. It makes it, but only water comes out of both push levers now. I get ZERO help from samsung customer service. There is nothing in

The problem is actually in the dispenser lever. The paddle that you press to dispense ice has a plastic lever/arm that extends behind it (you can't see it, it's up high in the assembly.) This plastic lever presses upwards when you push the paddle and presses into a switch. The switch actuates the ice. This little lever is also the ONLY thing that stops the paddle from continuing to press into the water paddle. So when the lever breaks, it creates your two symptoms - no ice and if you press further, you press the water switch and get water.

You need part# DA97-08519A. This is the lever assembly with the switches. You pry the control panel assembly (the whole digital display above the water/ice dispenser) out by inserting a slim pry bar (I used a pocket knife and didn't damage the finish) on one side and working my way around. The assembly is held in place by five plastic tabs (two on each side and one on the top.) When this is removed, the part# above will be obvious.

Ice dispenser stuck on

Either the paddle for the ice/water dispenser is stuck or you have a bad microswitch behind the dispenser.
To stop the ice/water from dispensing open the freezer door and press or hold the child lock button down. Once the unit is in child lock mode you can shut the door without energizing the dispenser.
Another option is to remove the upper freezer door hinge cover and disconnect the wire connector up there. This will remove voltage from the dispenser as well. Then either replace the paddle or switch. Sometimes the paddles/switches will get stuck because of splash up from ice dropping in sugary drinks.

Ice and water dispenser stopped working

Welcome to the computer world. When depressed, the paddle actuates a switch attached to the bracket above. The switch sends a low voltage signal to a small circuit board mouted right behind the display. A computer chip on that small board communicates with another chip on the main control board mounted in the rear wall. Your situation could be a bad actuator switch, a broken paddle tab, possibly a bad door switch (the fresh food doors must be closed to dispense), or a bad electronic control.

After using the water dispenser on my side by side ED20DF the water keeps on dripping? I've turned the water off for now, but I need to know how to fix it. Help??? Thanks

Could be couple of thing, but I think that first you need to check the connector. You open your refrigerator from both sides and then pull out the grille (don't worry it won't break) then if you see at your left there's a connector that put together a 5/16 water tube with a 1/4 water tube, try to fit both water tubes in the connector, maybe one of those is loose and that's the why of the dripping.

The other thing may be is with the mechanical-electrical interface, when you press the paddle, is you see the activation under the dispenser, it touches with a limit switch, maybe the limit switch is stuck with something when you activate or it is not working properly.

Also if you have a multimeter check the valve to see if it's not a problem with the signal that is coming to the valve, I mean if the problem is that even without press the paddle the dispenser start to dispense water.

Psc23sgrd ss ice/water dispenser not working

It is possible. When you put hit your glass against the paddle to you hear the switch click? And can you still select between water, cubed, and crushed ice? Also does the light by your glass come on when you but your glass against the paddle?

When you put your glass on the paddle it pushes in a microswitch. That microswitch will power the light if it is working and also sends power to the board you are talking about to dispense ice or water depending on what you have selected.
