Hi!!! I have a convergence problem on my TV (auto focus and manual convergence adjustment did not fix the issue) and I think, based on many messages and postings over the internet, the convergence IC is bad on my TV set. Can you please advise me the Part Number of the Convergence IC that I must buy to replace the bad ones?
No, You will not solve the problem with only changing the convergence IC, associated resisters may also be required. Beside of that, after spending time to get parts and replace the ICs, you need to make and adjustment the color lines (about 14 lines) This adjustment without experience will take you about 3 to 4 times and 4 hours each to get thing right (if you areskillfull, most of people failed this adjustment).. The total time spend for this problem would take you full 24 working hours. I successfully adjusted one set of my big TV (95%, need more more round)), on another set one I failed.

You would have to go into the service menu to do fine convergence adjustments - The best way to approach this is to get a service manual - available online $ at servicemanuals.net - Also double check all the 3.9 ohm resistors near the convergence IC's
pull the fron grill off the set then remove the cardboard covering the hole that is in the front of the set you will find a square box that has 6 controls on it adjust the focus for the red, blue and green crts, do not adjust the three marked screen control.
Solution: You have a convergence problem. Here are some of the most common symptoms.
Screen looks 3D One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu. Screen is bowed in but stationary.
Here is a quick test....
Using your original remote go-to the tv settings then goto the convergence section.
Try to adjust the red and then the blue convergence.
You should be able to move them up, down, left, and right.
If you can't move them in all directions your convergence chips are bad and should be replaced. This is a common problem.
You need to replace the convergence chips and convergence resistors.
Check the site www.TvRepairKits.com. They have put together a kit for your exact model. The kit includes a photo instruction guide, original Sanyo STK chips, convergence resistors, etc. Everything you need to fix it yourself.
