I need to know what contacts on the cable to apply 12v power to remove my cd magazine on a kenwood changer kdc c719.

These manuals don't give detailed info on the 13 pin wiring. Thanks for trying.

This is not actually my product, but I have a similar 13-pin connector on my current project.
I have a cassette unit from an '87 Toyota, Matsushita model 08690-00811. This unit connects to the radio using a 13-pin DIN.
I'm trying to figure out the connections in order to connect it to my CD receiver via the aux input.
Finding no information on line, I shall attempt to trace the connections from the radio unit.
I'll report back if I figure it out.

How do i install my alpine cd changer to a kenwood mp528 unit

It is unclear which Alpine CD changer you have and what output connections are available from it.

However your Kenwood unit has Aux input terminals at the back. With appropriate cable connectors you should be able to hook the two up. In the Kenwood you will have to select AUX in menu when playing CD changer. Download user manual for Kenwood from this site.

Does the Kenwood KDC MP5032 have an aux input? If so, where is it?

Hi there,

Kenwood utilize the CD Changer plug in the back (which acts as a secondary Aux input), to operate external iPod devices.

This is done with the aid of an Adapter Lead - it has the 13-pin DIN plug on one end (plugs into the rear of your unit), and an iPod plug on the other end (plugs into your iPod).

Depending on the "Generation" of your external iPod device, you will need to buy the appropriate Kenwood adapter cable. These are: KCA-IP102, KCA-IP202 or KCA-IP302.

There may be some aftermarket (3rd party) cables that may do the same job.

Just ensure you read your Kenwood manual, as the Kenwood unit may be limited to the types of files (i.e. formats) it can read & play.

Hope this explains....

Cheers,

I have a KDC-X469, It's supposed to have an AUX setting. When I scroll through the source button, AUX Doesn't appear. What do I do?

Try scrolling through the menu to see if you may have aux turned off. Some decks have a feature in the menu to turn aux on and off.

Compatible units

Hi check if your changer connects to the amplifier with a single ribbon cable. if this is the case then the unit is not compatible with anything else.
If it has its own mains cable and a couple of RCA connectors on the rear, then anything should be fine

What add on do i needed

The kvt-617dvd doesn't list your changer as one that's compatible. However the changer install procedure is relatively simple - just plug the 13-pin cable from the changer directly into the kvt-617's hideaway receiver. I would suggest you connect it to see if the changer will work before buying anything else.
